As a retired elementary teacher and one who really cared whether her students learned how to read , spell , wriite and do math , I protest this plan to spend $ 35 million dollars to buy computers for each student.
#! Buying them is only half the problem. They will have to be maintained ! If the kids don't take any better care of them than they have their free textbooks, it's going to be a lot MORE expensive..
#2Throwing more and more money at the schools to improve them never really makes that much difference.
#3 We can't afford to have our taxes raised now. Tim Burchett is absolutely right !!!
