Ed. Helton

Music historian wishes to contact descendants of Ed. Helton (b.1892) of Knox County. Between 1900 and 1920 Mr Helton lived in the Indian Creek community. He was married to Rhoda and his children included Ruby, Thelma, Muriel, and Elsie. I believe Mr Helton may have been the leader of the "Ed Helton Singers" who made recordings of old-time songs in Johnson City, TN, in 1928. If you knew Mr Helton, or can put me in touch with his descendants, I shall be very pleased to hear from you. Please email me at: <[email protected] .co.uk>. Thank you.
