I have a feeling many will be doing this if they can sell their home in Knox Co. The problem is the market right now and who wants to live in Knox Co. now. Your only hope is turning Knox Co. into a retirment community, because people with school age children will not move there if they do their research.

Youll be paying 1200 buckos a year too. These people in barbourville are so retarded the thought never crossed their mind what this would do to their property value. Oh well I live in city limits and don't have any children. I'm sure this whole ordeal will increase my home value when I get ready to sale. Thanks you bunch of corrupt hicks!
sorry

We just moved to Corbin in Jan. and I am thanking God that we chose to buy in the City School district for the very thought that the other counties could make the choice not to continue the reciprocal agreement. I haven't encountered any snobs yet. I just wanted to get my kids into the best schools possible.
BTW I bet our property value has gone up just because of this.

You People are so ignorant it isn't even funny. I graduated from Corbin. And I also thought that they were so suppior to the County Schools. So I sent my older children to Corbin. Hey Guess what I found out as a parent? I found that all they worry about in the Corbin system is scoring high on that stupid KATS test. All they wanted to do is pratice for that test and teach only what was on it, so they could score high and get all that state money. They did care if the could count to four or not just what was on that test. And when I complained to the School system about it all they would say is well we are in the top 10% in the state we must be doing something right. Well I can take a monkey and teach him specific things and he will do well at just those things. But I prefer that my children can funtion out in the real world, not just be able to make a school system look good on a test. I now have a younger children that are in school and they have chosen to to go to the county school, because they say that alot of the Kids that go to Corbin think they are better than others, and they don't want to be associated with them. I think that a child will get out of a education what he puts in it. I also think that learning begins at home. If you take the time to make sure your children do the work, and get involved with what they are doing in school they will do fine. Oh and buy the way my children have scored in the distingished category on the same test that Corbin takes in Math and reading for the last 3 years. My children are not any better or smarter than anyone elses.. I just make sure they go to School every day, do there homework, and if they are having trouble with something I do my best to help. So if all you big highly intellegant, Snobish, better than anyone else, parrents out there would like to explain to me how they can do as well as the Corbin district go ahead.

Oh and by the way I know that I didn't spell everything correct. That is because of being careless not because I do not have a education I also graduated from College and own my on bussiness. Didn't want to hear how stupid I was and how that I wss just one of those Kids that went to corbin and didn't do anything with my life and was blaming it on the schools system. Oh and am not bitter with Corbin Schools system I still think that it is ok but it is not suppior by far. They just teach the kids how to pass a test better than the county schools do..
