I was told that when Knox Co. misses school that their students have work packets that they complete at home and that counts as a day of instruction. Does anyone know if this is true?

Part of it is true. The kids have assignments to do if the school declares a "Snowbound Day" which occurs on the third day missed. The kids can choose from several options to complete their assignments. They can go to the nearest school, get online and complete assignments given there, or do a packet that has been given to them by their teachers. It really is a pretty good idea! Some teachers have given review work to be completed on the first day when missed. At least the kids will keep up their skills.
