These YOUNG BOYZ need to stay in line not over them.
Both lives could have been saved with more training and less zealous.
REALLY? SERIOUSLY? This is really something you think is necessary to say? Have you no conscience? No morals? No Heart? Are you really that much of a jerk that this is what you say in response to the death of a law enforcement officer. If this is how you react to tragedy my guess is you have never done ONE Selfless act in your whole life! How dare you judge those who do! May you never be in need of those men and women in blue who you so willingly mock in times of heartbreak.

OH and BTW-when my husbands walks out our back door, gets in his car (What ever car he has been issued) goes on radio and marks on duty-even though he has not arrived at the police department-YES he is on duty-driving to work is part of duty-if you are in your patrol car-YOU ARE ON DUTY! so Yes Chad was on duty when he was killed.

One day you may need a cop to save your life-despite the fact that you are so rude and disrespectful I have no doubt that they will help you with...how did you say it "Zealous!"

Well YOU'RE a piece of work. And you're wrong. God be with this Troopers family, friends and co-workers. But also with the other cars occupants and their friends and family as well. No mere words can heal. I'm praying for all of them.

Right, clueless people are everywhere. But this is a case of reckless driving by the officer. If he had lived, I am sure he would have been facing charges. I was a passenger in an accident a while ago going abt 90-100mph. The car hit a tree sideways. The car got bent, but nothing like this. I assume this car was driven at least 130-150. Very reckless.

Because most drivers are clueless and crap themselves the momment they see an emergency vehicle behind them. I drive emergency vehicles for a living and people never cease to amaze me with when they do when we start approaching them. They dive for the ditch, speed up, try to outrun us, lock their brakes up, cut us off, come to a dead stop near the top of a hill, stop in a blind corner. Not too long ago I was driving a 50000 lbs fire truck, that doesn't stop on a dime, to a possible house fire. I was running lights and sirens. Approaching a driver from behind I know they saw me because they began to slow down to a stop in my lane. I turned my turn signal on to indicate I was going to pass and merge to the opposing lane and what do they do? Move into the lane I had just merged into with just a few truck lengths between us forcing me to quickly swerve back to the lane I was in. This is exactly when police officers and emergency responders deal with EVERY time they respond to a call. Why do you think they put those PSAs about yielding to emergency vehicles out on the radio? Now, this is NOT casting blame on the other driver in any way. These are what we deal with every day, however if he was indeed going as fast as it appears you can't expect people to react in time.

So you condone wreckless police behaviour and brutality? You'd feel better if this cop had killed the passengers in the other car? All I'm saying is that I glad it was the cop and not the innocent bystanders, as is often the case.

You think the police are rushing towards the black mob of Peoria last night as fast as that cop was rushing to write a speeding ticket?

You have issues; you might consider counseling. I would personally volunteer some time and a little X26 therapy as well.

Generalize much? I'm not sure what you think police officers get paid, but I wouldn't categorize it as overpaid by any means. I also like how your post is poorly worded, grammatically incorrect and just plain ignorant and you're the one calling them uneducated goons. What's so special about this guy, along with most police officers, is their sense of duty and integrity and service- some things I doubtyou have the ability to comprehend. My thoughts are with the trooper's family and the other folks involved in the crash. You, Rob, can move to Russia or Cuba anytime you want. You won't be missed.

Your ignorance is astounding as is you lack of empathy. Strap on a gunbelt and don a uniform and do the job for a day. When everyone else is running away, it's the police running towards the danger. My guess is you're one of those folks hiding in your locked home praying the police come- and when they come- are among the first to criticize their actions. Hurry- break out your cellphone and record them arresting one of these black youth from Peoria and scream police brutality, but it's free speech if the mob attacks the police or burns down their own neighborhood. And yes, I think police would rush towards these incident as fast (faster) than some cop rushing to write a speeding ticket.

No, not at all. And he didn't kill them, as far as I have read. Not that it is made any easier for them. This was an accident. An officer was going to help a fellow officer and unless you understand the significance of that, you will never understand. Police don't have accidents all the time. But when it happens it makes the news. if they televised every other accident that occured, they wouldn't have any time to do anything else. I will still pray for the friends and family of ALL involved.

So you have flashing blue lights on your car. This gives you the right to endanger every other person you come across, by driving at top speed in a souped up car? there is no excuse for this idiot to be referred to anything other than that. I think the truly sad thing is that if he had not collected a darwin award he would have had no repercussions for his asinine behavior. If you want to be treated with respect earn it! its a badge not a shield.

RIP trooper. Investigation will show if he had proper lights and sirens to warn others.
A few weeks ago I saw an Albemarle County police car on HWY29 well over 100 MPH using no lights and sirens. Rain had just started to fall and he was passing a truck at that speed. He was catching up to a speeder, about 3 miles up the road he had apprehended a Subaru. That officer is lucky to be alive, he was definitely determined to be first at the scene of the crash.
It sometimes helps to avoid pursuits to catch up to speeders before you put up lights who kill more people than anything out there, I would have been glad to see a cop do that on the highway the other day these idiots where all speeding and jocking for lanes they almost had a wreck fish tailing and smoke from tires braking

You seem to be on target about police state but you also seem to be a whinnyasz punk who hates cops. Thats ok i'll still do my job when you call. As far as illegals i do all the law allows me to do so im not the problem your corrupt politicians are. While some cops speed some of us do so to catch the garbage thats around or back up fellow officers which yes we do take our life in our hands to do it and we do use our emergency equipment the best way to describe that would be to imagine one of your kids needing help and your the only one who can do it and you need to get there when seconds count. As far as standards go your a idiot, thanks to people like you we have a thankless job and get bashed in the media whenever a accident or a mistake occurs, maybe someone perfect like you should show us how its done but im sure your probably not strong enough to do it. The best thing you said was being prepared at home which i wish everyone one would be, reach for it and put the home invaders down the clean up crew will be there asap, just make sure they are threating your life or others cause you know how liberal laws work. Good luck to you and try and realize these idiots out there speeding kill more people than anything in our field of work see enough familys killed by speeders maybe you would understand ( or how about someone thats not licensed or does not belong here ) causing a wreck? think about it and i apologize for the name calling at you but im tired of seeing cops trashed hell politicians lead the NFL , ABL, NBA, NHL every year in drug and dui arrests pick on those scum

What, did a police officer arrest your daddy for something he didn't do? Or maybe, you blame them for your drug arrest, because it's a disease and you can't control yourself so now you love to blame others for your mistakes? Your calling this trooper an idiot is beyond abhorrent- it's downright disgusting and if I knew who you were I'd smack the ignorance right of you, although it would take quite some time. Police are provided lights and sirens and badges, because they have taken an oath to protect and serve. They are held to a higher standard, as they should. However, to spit on the grave of a young officer who may or may not have made a mistake, is uncalled for. Show some respect yourself, because you're certainly not earning it.

I would like to see more state police cars get the newer heavy duty push bumpers. Some of these are complete front end wrap around units that have real tubular steel in them and aren't the chintzy versions most departments usually buy.

Such a device may or may not have saved this person's life but most assuredly they will save lives if enough cars get them.

Rhino Products is one of several manufacturers.

If a car has to be pushed off an interstate in an emergency these newer units reduce the chance that either car will be damaged.

Having blue lights and a badge does not give you the right to drive a vehicle on a public road, so fast it disintegrates on impact. this officer had the duty of public safety on his shoulders but totally disregarded it.

WOW you must be an officer yourself. responding to something you dont like with excessive force, and threats of violence. Instead of attacking random people online over post that you dont agree with. Why dont you actually respond with a counter point to my statement. Your threats of beating me because your angry only makes my point stronger.
