Here we go again. Parents, wake up. It is not the responsibility of any school or church to educate and or entertain your children, academaically or religiously. Know where your children are, who they are with and do not assume that anyone in leadership or authority over your children is trustworthy, no matter who they are or how long you've known them. Our children must come first, and the proof will be in whether we are truly paying attention to them ourselves.
Yours may be the first legitimate post on this subject that makes sense ... mine are just full of sarcasm ..

I don't understand why that boy was in Campbell's house taking a shower anyway... Where were his parents? And why is he taking a shower at another persons house?

Besides that, how stupid can a guy be to donate the computer without wiping everything out?
Maybe subconsciously he wanted to be caught???

Is this irony? The pervert who donates a computer to a youth group who would otherwise rather watch them pee?

While Pete wrote this message with sarcastic intent, I think it’s a worthy punishment for this type of crime. These people are rarely “cured” of their base perversions, so left alone in society this man will certainly entertain his urges again.

Well ... reading thru some of the pompous christian posts on a few other threads on these forums, this incident may be your god reminding you people of your not so righteous fellowship within the walls of your own temples.
Sort of humbling that one of your prayer partners might be other than what you perceived ..
By the way, it's God with a capital G, not lower case.

Pete, why don't you open your house up to homeless sex offenders? Seriously, what could possibly go wrong?

Don't get me wrong, I feel bad that another human froze to death. But WHAT IS YOUR SOLUTION? or are you a hypocrite?

Have you ever been employed or volunteered to help homeless, ex cons, or sex offenders? Or do you just like to talk out of both sides of your mouth?

Jenna is correct. Remember this happened in a private home, not at a church. It is our job as parents to keep our children safe - no one elses. Unfortunately he will most likely "beg forgiveness", his family will believe he was "just going thru a hard time", and "now he is saved" so that he can continue with his pedophile tendencies.

This was a premeditated crime from someone who intentionally put himself around the particular age group he fantasized about.

Now his son will never be able to bring home a friend, or feel comfortable that his dad can be safe around his friends. None of Mr. Campbells' children should ever feel safe leaving their own future children with their father. But, I bet they do it anyway - after all, he'll say God healed him. Love the way these pedophiles hide behind God.

I'm not confused at all! I speak with clarity. Too bad you don't understand how sick and tired most people are of hearing how your so called "sinners" can ask for forgiveness and all will be OK. They will get theirs on judgement day. Well, judgement day will come when your so-called sinner rots in jail with others of his kind.

You can't open up a newspaper, turn on a TV, or click on a 'net news site without reading about some "christian" youth worker/volunteer or pastor/priest pulling this kind of bull-shit.
These days a young boy is probably more safe at the NeverLand Ranch than affiliating with a christian organization.

Good ol' christian values.

Please don't judge all christians by one man's actions. He is a very sick person and should pay for what he has done.. He will pay here on earth and again on judgement day where he goes before his heavnly father... instead use your time to pray for his family his wife and kids. At least the church did not cover this up they turned him in.

Don't pay any attention to Arctic. The picture is an image of a Jesus fish with a hook in it's mouth.

Personally I think he is just jealous that others are happier than him.

Anyway, regarding the propensity of Christians to participate in this sort of behavior...it isn't.

Christians unfortunately create an atmosphere that is conducive to trust, involves children in youth groups, etc. Again, unfortunately the things that make being part of a Christian community so great are also the very things that create an environment that attracts closet pedophiles. They tend to maneuver themselves to be in situations where they can interact with children/youths.

You don't see it so much in atheist groups because well...atheists seldom are concerned with anyone other than themselves and their own kids...there are no organized groups. There is no sense of belonging or community, no weekly meetings, no atheist youth groups, no atheist summer camps, no atheists youth ministers, etc.

But rest assured that most pedophiles don't consider themselves Christian....even if they surround themselves with Christians and prey on their trust of other Christians.
