Frankly, if some son of a bitch hurts anyone in my family while driving hopped. Up on MJ, I'm suing the shit out of everyone of these city commissioners. Kids do what kids do, and that's try to get high. The friggin adults are supposed to know better.

I have been avoiding drug testing my employees as I could care less what they do in the privacy of their own home, but this is getting ridiculous, liability in this litigious world is too high to take the risk.

Sorry medical MJ folks, you all about to be fired.

And the only reason they are putting forth this kind of initiative is Obama may actually lose. They need as many dope heads as possible out to vote for Obama... MJ may just get them excited enough to vote. Even Stevie will vote to give himself a fine

You crack me up! You say you are against spending and say we don't have money but yet you want the county to spend $2.5 mil a year to bust someone for using a naturally occuring plant.

What could Kent County do with $2.5 more million per year?

Face it, you enjoy spending just as much as anyone...just along as it's spent putting libs and libertarians in jail.

I share a lot of the same ideals as the Libertarian party but I never said I was one (are you already drunk at 5pm?). You know what I totally agree with them on? Keeping the government out of my living room (in other words 'liberty' for people like you who don't understand what it means), their tolerance towards others and bringing the troops home from around the globe. I simply stated that Libertarians are thrown in jail, just like liberals, because of marijuana use.

If you're a conservative or Republican and you get tossed into jail because of marijuana use then I don't give a f because you support the same turds who just took away your freedom.

That's good to know for all the drunk drivers, prescription drug users and abusers, texters, distracted drivers, robbers, killers, and other such criminals.
Your focus of revenge is really in the wrong places based on the statistics and evidence at hand.
Besides...you'd lose your lawsuit anyway.

You all have truly turned me around on the subject. Tell me how we keep high people from driving and how we tell the difference?

MJ has been illegal for a long time. 50 plus years, there are lots more people driving today. I think I've said before I'm all for it but at an age later in life when your life's work of raising kids etc is typically over, and you typically have the maturity to not drink and drive. Before you go out of your mind notice the word "typically"

But this as we know for the most part will be a fine caused in a traffic stop. That changes the game IMMENSELY. Tell me how you keep dumbasses off the roads stoned $25??? less than a seat belt ticket...this is going down in flames, unless it gets thought out much better. Look at California's fiscal woes...its because they are all stoned.

If you are pulled over and are under the influence of pot you will still be charged with a DUI. This law pertains to being caught with small amounts of pot in your possession or in your home.

Just how exactly will a cop know if its been an hour, two hours or fifteen minutes since you last smoked? What if it's a quality issue, ok so the dude smoked it like a minute ago, however it's mean green...

Define 'naturally occurring'. It's not indigenous to North American at all.
Since you're all for using a 'naturally occurring plant', why don't you get yourself some poison ivy or hemlock and smoke that? I mean the argument used for MJ being 'harmless' is that it's a plant and therefore can't hurt you, right so have at it and tell your next of kin to let us know how long you lasted.

Every time this issue comes up it's easy to see who the liberty haters are.
And it's no coincidence that the liberty haters are almost always people who believe in religious myth.

Even socially backwards conservative GR is seeing that pot prohibition is a failure and completely unnecessary because it's not nearly as harmful as legal drugs like alcohol or prescription painkillers.
