Moran said a key in keeping the city fiscally sound will be continued economic development, which she called "the preferred method" to fiscal well-being.

Economic development? Can OS handle another bar?

The Mayor has done a lot of good for the City. While it is public knowledge she likes to go "Downtown" look around the City and then go to Gautier then Pascagoula and do the same. The quality of life is what people look for and our City has it.I do agree the number of bars is more tha I think should be here but it is all market driven. I guess you could say the Mayor likes to drink to celebrate the success the City has experianced during her tenure.

What I think is interesting is that the city budget is 23% lower than it was just 2 years ago. So in 2 short years the city has lost a quarter of its budget. Project forward 5 years & you do the math. What's even more scary is that Ocean Springs is one of the more upscale cities in the area. And if they're having to do these budget problems...things are going to get harry going forward.

So in 5 years...the budget will be 50% of what it is now?
