"Just as we couldnt predict all of the benefits that cell phones, ATMs and the Internet brought us, we cant imagine today all the ways that widespread deployment of clean energy solutions will improve our lives. Already in Texas and Iowa, wind turbines are keeping the lights on when coal-fired power plants fail. In New Jersey and California, solar power has created thousands of jobs and cut costs for consumers, and Georgia is soon to join their ranks."
Julia, when the denial laden utility industry stops with the," Net metering homeowners are not paying their fair share to maintain the power grid structure." Until then they will not change their business model to include energy storage. When this happens, then one can actually have an all electric car for local errands and transportation. This will allow the shift in energy requirements that will help get the country away from fossil fuel dominance for our energy needs.
