I guess the title should read: Davis Creek Volunteer Fire Dept battles fire in Alum Creek. If it weren't for Davis Creek, there would barely be any kind of fire protection in Alum Creek.

That's pretty much sums it up right there! ACVFD may have the best equipment but they're too stupid to use it. Apparently Alum Creek is now going to let they're 18 year olds drive their fire trucks to emergencies since they can't get any trucks out on time...still isn't going to matter, those Davis Creek boys get a truck out within 4 minutes or less of a call. PROfessional volunteers lol

Only because every last one of them at Davis creek don't have jobs and nothing better to do than lay up in the lounge all day and night playing games and watching TV. Alum Creek guys have jobs and are taking care of business at home. easy to get a truck out in "4" mins when you lay up at that place 24-7.

If people have a problem with what is being done with their local fire dept then why don't you join and since it seems that you are able to run calls at all hours of the day then you might be able to help make a difference. as far as davis creek goes most of them are on a prof. dept so they spend their off time at the station or they live right beside it. i for one am glad that they run calls together that way when people are at work you know someone else is able to run the call.
just a fact

What an idiot ... You realize that most of them of paid fireman or paid Emt/paramedics at places like kceaa/charleston fd / south charleston fire department ? And I think alum creek may have one paid guy? Which is there assistant chief ? Don't quote me on that but making the statement they all don't have jobs and lounge around the station is false .. I actually can't think of one of the regulars that runs calls that don't have a job, but like I said a lot of them are professionals and work 24 on 48 off giving them time to provide adequate fire protection for Davis Creek and most of the time Alum creek ....
