I doubt it. All their activities on Saturday were a FLOP.

I don't think they have anyone who knows how to put on an event.

They are paying their organizer through the CVB more than 45,000 and she has an assistant. Not to mention they city taxpayers are footing the bill for her health insurance through the city - which is really very questionable.

Aren't these the same people who said one person making less than 30,000 a year was overpaid and had nothing to do?

At least the one person could put on an event that was worth going to.

Maybe you should schedule an appointment with the Mayor to discuss these issues you have with this person and their work. Or better yet you should apply for this position to see if you could do a better job. Thats the reason they got rid of the last Director. Good luck if you apply. Happy Holidays and Go Wildcats!

I don't know where to start so i'll just cut to the chase and say you are dead on 100% right with that post! Hell make that 110% correct!

All NHS83 has to do if is stop in and have a chat with his Mayor. If it's a job he is looking for I am sure Dave will do whatever he can to help the poor fella out. If not in his adminiatration he will find something for the ol chap to do. And if it's a handout he's looking for then he I am sure the Mayors door would still be open.

David Casebolt was elected as Mayor of Nitro for one reason and one reason only

He is a leader of men!

There was never anything wring with the city events before Kelly Pruett took over. She has an assistant and still can't put together a sucessful event.

Well there you go, talk to the Mayor and tell him your opinion. I personally think she is doing a great job. The Mayor is always open to suggestions and will gladly listen to you. The previous administration wasn't as willing to listen. The new administration is here to make Nitro better for everyone and not just a few. Happy Holidays and Go Wildcats!

You misspelled (wrong) and (successful) if you had just called Kelly I am sure she would have been more than happy to proof read your work. Just saying!

Craig your girl Kelly may be able to proof. But I think everyone has issues with their phones auto correcting to things that they did not type.

But proofing would be the only thing she can do. Because she obviously doesn't know how to plan and put on public events.

Every event she has been involved with has been a utter and total flop.

Hers and your events Craig. Flops.

You still upset that your hotdog bun got soggy a couple of weeks ago? Dude it was raining that day. Mother nature at it's worst and it still was a success.(Success has two c's!) but you already know that right?

For the rest of you people, really? Why is it that you feel the need to make every thread about jobs, and someones income? Not everyone cares if you disagree with the way things are being took care of. If you have such a strong opinion perhaps you should put a voice with it in city hall. I am sure someone will lend you an ear. I simply asked if the parade was still going to take place. I do not recall asking about the person who plans it out, or their income. Why? Because I just enjoy taking my 2small children to see the bands, fire trucks, etc. I am not there to give the background of the parade a ten point inspection. I am also sure if I knew what each of you do , and could see how you carry out your job, that I myself could tell you at least one way I think you could improve. Everyone has their own opinion, and are entitled to it. Not every thread on the Nitro forum should be about bashing the city officials. Do you really have nothing else to do?

Even with the bad weather we had for the last event and this scheduled event she is doing a top notch job. If you have any advise for her to make the events even better for the citizens of Nitro call her or stop by and see her. She would appreciate and listen to any suggestions I'm sure. she is so top notch the turnout is lousy.

She is not a top notch event plannter. Before she took this job she was a secretary at the track.

What a joke.

Trinkit where have you been the last person who put on events was harassed right out of their job.

Bu every year there was surplus in the department they handled. Every event (even when weather conditions were not good) were a sucess.

Just sayin. so suck on that Dave Casebolt, John Young and Craig Matthews.

You don't have to disrespect and insult others simply to hold your own ground. If you do, it shows how shaky your own position is! This is a great and oh so true quote!!

Who said anything about a surplus? The city hasn't had a surplus in two years. In fact this most recent year 2011 it was a deficit of 331,000.

Just thought I would let you know since you mentioned a surplus.

But thanks for exposing yourself as a city official.

Idiot.
