What is the deal that TV programs will bleep out the f-word, the d-word and the s-word, but saying God's name in vain is OK? How pathetic.

I agree. I don't see the necessity in using any profanity, anywhere. Children learn almost everything they know from adults, sisters, brothers, relatives, friends, and the media. Sadly, in this day and age, we have little patience and respect for each other, ourselves, and the world in general. It shows in our behavior towards one another, and sets a bad example for young children. While swearing may seem harmless, it sounds awful and can give a bad impression. Most everyone has probably lost their patience and use a few cuss words in their lifetime, but when it becomes an everyday habit, and in front of children in particular, it's time to take notice and break the habit.

There should be no using of profanity in front of our children. Try to give our kids a break - educate them in the right way. Teach them to read, to write and teach them, please, how to act in church and other public places. their offensive behaviour only reflects on their parents.

Listen, a word is a word is a word is a word. If you dont like em, don't use em. As far as obscene words being on tv, I believe none of them should be censored. I mean Jesus Christ, if you don't want to hear those words don't watch the show. If you have kids, set the parental controls to where they can't watch the show. Bleeping out cuss words isn't saving children from anything, except for the real world. Ironically, topic won't let me post obscene language on here, so go truck yourself you self-righteous asswhole.
