Good grief. That's right up there with the guy who swears he will never die from a cigarette and then goes out and gets run over by a Marlboro truck.

That's really sad since it wasn't even her fault.
Prayers for the family. Always hard to bury a young person who's life was cut short.

The sad thing is that the drunks usually live. It makes you wonder why God loves drunken killers more than young-people. But then again, do we have to wonder? What is God's feelings about youth and children? Remember the sacrifice of Isaac? Remember the children teasing a prophet getting torn to death? Remember the crucifixtion and how the Bible says God enjoyed watching his son suffer? In Proverbs, parents are commanded to beat their kids. The Levitical code said that if a son was rebellious, that he was to be stoned to death (and it was not referring to marijuana). Then you have the cults, the Catholics, and even fundamentalists who molest, and get by with it for the most part. You cannot help but wonder if they have God's blessings on what they do.

It has nothing to do with God loving drunks, or God altogether. Many times, drunks survive accidents because they do not brace themselves for the accident, which can lead to much more damage occurring, than when your body is in a relaxed(drunken) state.

I have a hard time blaming any God for things like this,(be patient with my wording, I'm a Pagan).
Anyhow, I think we make our own destiny and sometimes sh!t happens. Folks want to blame a God, maybe to find comfort in the fact that they could no way stop what happened. Random accident are a way of life. Also sometimes another's actions, a perfect stanger even, causes a chain of events to occur.

You are skewing things way out of proportion, none of which are factual. Maybe the hardest lesson is living with the reality that you killed someone!

The first drink that this 29 yr. old woman picked up to her mouth, with all intentions of driving the vehicle, was the action that caused this chain of events to happen. God had nothing to do with it!

****From A Petition I Received In My E-mail Yesterday****

Went to a party Mom

I went to a party,
And remembered what you said.
You told me not to drink, Mom,
so I had a sprite instead.

I felt proud of myself,
The way you said I would,
that I didn't drink and drive,
though some friends said I should.

I made a healthy choice,
And your advice to me was right.
The party finally ended,
and the kids drove out of sight.

I got into my car,
Sure to get home in one piece.
I never knew what was coming, Mom,
something I expected least.

Now I'm lying on the pavement,
And I hear the policeman say,
the kid that caused this wreck was drunk,
Mom, his voice seems far away.

My own blood's all around me,
As I try hard not to cry.
I can hear the paramedic say,
this girl is going to die.

I'm sure the guy had no idea,
While he was flying high.
Because he chose to drink and drive,
now I would have to die.

So why do people do it, Mom
Knowing that it ruins lives?
And now the pain is cutting me,
like a hundred stabbing knives.

Tell sister not to be afraid, Mom
Tell daddy to be brave.
And when I go to heaven,
put ' Mommy's Girl' on my grave.

Someone should have taught him,
That it's wrong to drink and drive.
Maybe if his parents had,
I'd still be alive.

My breath is getting shorter,
Mom I'm getting really scared
These are my final moments,
and I'm so unprepared.

I wish that you could hold me Mom,
As I lie here and die.
I wish that I could say,'I love you,Mom!'
So I love you and good-bye.

Didn't Pandora's curiosity get the best of her and cause her to open the box and stick her nose in it? Please feel free to correct me--it won't hurt my feelings.

Maybe if this girl didn't get so curious and stick her nose into teen highway deaths things might have turned out differently?
Or was she destined to pass this way?

There are movies such as Final destination that deal with this question.

After writing a Poem this long you would think she would have survived ! Who gave her a writing tablet ? I don't think i would be writing Poems if i was fatally wounded ! What took the Ambulance so long to get there ? The Tablet must have had Blood all over it ! I'll bet her Mom had trouble reading it ! This won't stop Alcoholics from drinking and driving !

I'm sure there's a market for this kind of emotionally manipulative crap, but I'm damned if I can figure out where it is.
