I don't appreciate your reference to Softball. They have a great league. They have a open door policy, ANYONE can attend a board meeting no matter what their discussing, as long as your related to or friends with someone on the board. The coaches are highly trained and all have extensive background checks, If there is even a hint of any criminal activity you will not be allowed on the field. There is never any foul language or tobacco tolerated. If you have any questions feel free to check with anyone on the board and they will be glad to answer any questions. They are a very good bunch. Keep up the good work, JCGYB is a perfect organization to get your kids into,
How about the coach that was caught fooling around with one of the girls on his team???? Now that concerns me; how about you???

I'm a softball coach and I think it should be allowed to "FOOL" around with the girls on my team. As long as they approve; who cares! "I truly believe that would be some of the coaches beliefs!!! People who pray on children need the DEATH SENTENCE; then that would stop them for good, no more worries!! The coach that got caught should be HANGED in the front yard of the courthouse!! That's to hard for the law makers to come up with though!!!!" This is my two Abs worth; thank you, I'll be here all week from 5:30pm til midnight folks!!!

It would seem that Willies msg was/is, that some people are just self absorbed & think primarily of themselves. Like you

I remember when we were allowed to smoke in the dugouts during games, What have we become when our God given rights as Americans are taken away. We can't smoke around our kids, what's next we won't even be able to have a few beers and drive around town. Wake up America. I was a child of a violent chain smoking alcholoic that beat up my mom and brother and I turned out OK. Evertone need a fist up side the head every now and then. Marlboro and Blue ribbon should be listed as its own food group.

Is all the hype about smoking cause my mom and I chew loose leaf tobacco at the games , Is that ok? I know it's a little gross but we spit in mt. Dew cans and not on the ground. If you think second hand smoke is gross you should be around second hand chewing. My boyfriend loves that wintergreen taste.

Smoking is NOT a God given right, ding-a-ling!! Although it is legal, Tobacco is a controlled substance. There is a minimum age to purchase, limitations on where & how much is grown, it is taxed & it is not allowed in many sports areas, many parks, the public pools, court houses & more.
You remember when you could smoke in dugouts? Do you remember when cigarette packs did NOT have warnings on them? Do you remember when just about anyone could buy cigarettes? Or when anyone that at least looked like an adult could by alcohol or porn or gamble? Do you remember cars with running boards & 10 mpg? What's your point? Just asking....Things do change.

It wasn't a girl on his team and he was not a coach. he was a former coach many years before. The girl also was not one of his players nor was she a member of the league at the time. I think it's horrible but your facts are wrong, that's what I think about that.

Thanks for reminding me about the good old days before the Gov. took all our rights from us. If a kid don't want to get second hand smoke they can hold their breath and walk away. It's a free country. I have been smoking since I was 12, Drinkin since 16 and I'm in my 50s and doing great thank you very much.....

Your post & convaluted thinking is evidence that smoking at 12 & drinking at 16 is bad for the brain!
YOUR words disprove your own argument but also prove that you are a few cards short of a full deck. Thank you.

People can smoke if they want, but they also should have enough respect for those that don't. People who don't smoke should'nt have to inhale others second hand smoke, that is their right too. If your gonna smoke do it away form others, have a little respect.

I have coached girls softball for 30 years and I have four rules. No cussing , Make out with your boyfriends on your own time and smoke behind the dugout, and don't bum a cigarette from the coaches...Play Ball.........

Love seeing some common sense on here! Thank you! After all we are talking about smoking OUTSIDE, not in an enclosed room! Thank you for all your years of coaching, now that takes some stamina!
