Man Indicted In Death of His Father in Jerseyville

A Jersey County grand jury handed down an indictment Wednesday charging Mark Prough with first-degree murder.

I would like to know the evidence, if it is not hard evidence, then they have no case. It also needs to be moved out of the county to another county, these counties are tainted.

Mark thinks he IS Jesus, amongst other manic beliefs. I know him. I'm the girl from Miller County (if you're familiar with that part of his recent past). He nearly killed me. There's no doubt in my mind that he did in fact kill his father. He had huge resentments against him, which (if I'm to believe what I'm told) were not entirely unjustified. However, it's been my experience that Mark experiences paranoid beliefs about those around him coupled with manic beliefs about his own importance and power. It's this unfortunate mix which makes him homicidal.

If you're for real, just ask the Jerseyville police for my number and call me. Somebody gave me a heads up that the public defense will be in town later this month. I don't mind seeing Mark placed somewhere that focuses more on mental health issues than penal ones, just so long as he's placed somewhere for a long time.

I have to warn you though, I didn't know Mark for very long. When I did know him though, he was constantly telling me a plethora of delusional things. When I'd say, "Maybe that's a delusion..." He'd say something like, "OK, forget it, if you're not going to believe me, and I can't confide in you, then forget it." Until the next time he came up with some other revelation or plan, then he'd start in again. I think that's part of why he did what he did to me. It got the point where I just kept telling him that he was sick and I couldn't handle taking care of him,that I really needed to stay away from him for my own sanity. He just needed too much. Anyway...give me a call if you're with the placement team and I'll tell you what I can remember.
