Perryville woman killed in I-55 crash

Joyce M. Helmers, 52, of Perryville, Mo., was killed Tuesday in a crash on Interstate 55 in Jefferson County .

Maybe because she's the daughter of Sunny and Yvonne Roman...sister to Lynn Brewer and Craig Roman. Very sad and tragic. Keep the family in your prayers.

I will miss her very much even though I only got to see her once or twice a year when I visited Missouri from Texas.

There was another blog yesterday where some residents of Jefferson County were talking about some sort of median barriers that were supposed to be throughout the county and would have not allowed her to go over the median. Sadly budget kept them from being in place where this happened. That same person who was travelling that stretch of I55 on the same day made the comment that they had seen others off the road on the right hand side. Sounds like weather was a factor.

Please do the family a favor and don't do this on here. It is not the place or the time to be having these types of conversations. I know no one is saying anything bad, but how would you feel if it was you that lost the loved one. I am a very private person and would not won't people discussing my loved ones death this way, whether it be innocent conversation or not. Please show compassion.

You are so very right....let it rest people....let the family not worry about anything posted here...hope this is the last post.
