Just putting my name out there. I lived in PRP and went to St CLements til 8th grade. Moved to Prairie Villiage at 13 yrs old. First year at Stuart was 1st year of forced Busing to Shawnee. Went to Stuart off and on for 3 yrs. Class of 78 (I think...maybe 79)- never graduated. Got GED & Went in USAF for 11 yrs. Was married for 10 yrs. Moved back to Louisville area for 15 yrs, worked downtown in communcations & lived mostly in the east end. Moved to Florida 3 yrs ago. Semi Retired now and live alone in a 3/2 house. However I still visit Louisville area from time to time because all of my family lives there & I may actaully move back there soon.
I remember lots of you guys. Remember: The Vogue, Waverly Park Keggers, Cutting and going to Otter Creek or throwing Frisbee in Iroquios Park. Tiki Woods, The Old Road, Hot Rod Haven, Drag racing on Blevins Gap. Phelps liquors ( where all you needed was a smile and $ to buy booze). CSN tunes with "BP & the Calhouns". Socializing, between classes, in the smoking area at Stuart. The Busing Riots.
Lots of memories from those times. It would be great to chat with any old friends and reminisce. I can be reached, by email, at [email protected]
P.S. Johnny Radabaugh paid me a visit recently while my brother Chris Young was vacationing with me as well. We had a great time talkin bout the old times.

Damont we played baseball together at Stuart for at least three years and the last I remember you played college ball somewhere in Kentucky, I'm thinking Cumberland College but I'm not sure. I have a 1977 annual if you still need something from it. I live in Bowling Green KY and will be retiring from my Federal Goverment job in the next few years. I hope all is well with you. My e mail is [email protected] I'm still married to Alma (Ralston) we both graduated in 1977 and went on to graduate from EKU. I hope this finds you and your family doing well. Take Care Terry Vance

I attended Jesse Stuart thru 1977 then moved to Ohio. I was in the class of 1981. Does anyone know if this class graduated from Jesse Stuart or did they merge with Valley? I can't find anyone I went to school with...thanks.

I graduated in 1977. To my knowledge Stuart never merged with Valley but forced busing, which started in 1977, changed everything. Eventually Stuart was converted to a middle school (still a middle school today) and high school boundry lines had to be redefined. Somes students went to Doss, some were bused downtown and no doubt some did get re-routed to Valley. In addition, at some point probably about 1981 or 1982 when you graduated your ceremony was held in Freedom Hall (convention center)in conjunction with other schools in Jefferson County. You were recognized for graduating from JCPS not a particular high school. It may be difficult to find anybody unless thay stumble across this website like I did - Good Luck. Try Facebook if you haven't already. Terry Vance

I have a yearbook from 1976 that I found in a box I bought at an auction. It smells musty (I guess it was in somebody's basement), but otherwise is in good condition. If anyone is interested in buying it for $5.00, just e-mail me. [email protected]

Went to Stuart High School for 2 years before moving back to Los Angeles in 1976 (father was in the Army). Looking for anyone from this area that now lives in the Southern California area. I am also looking for any information about Tina Walls, who graduated in 1978, I believe, from Stuart High School.

Thanks
