It did I was there and the mayor was asking the judge/lawyer about some legal advise and they judge snapped back at the mayor and told him he was the council's lawyer and not the mayor's lawyer and the mayor responded that he was part of the council. The mayor then made a comment about the problems with being judge and lawyer and the judge told him to take him to court then! Then the chief got up after a young man made his appeal about his judgement and told the guy it was not entirely true what he was telling. He also told the mayor that anyone that wanted to appeal to the council needed to send it in writing first and that he had not did that. Then there were 3 black gentlemen there and one stood up and said I did send you a letter, the chief said I did not get it and then the city clerk held it up and she had it! The chief said he had not seen it and the gentleman told him a thing or two and that they had been here investigating some goings on here for 3 months. The chief was not so arguementative after the gentleman got on him about the letter. They passed out cards to the audience around them and were from neighborhood watch gangs and crimes. They then went into private session and the mayor came back and apologized to everyone about the outburst with the judge which I call a pissing contest. They were not going to let any of the taxpayers talk and then a lady stood up and talked about milage rate and then a young lady stood up in reference to letting firemen go and some people in the city were old enough to retire make $50,000.00+

You can be rest assured that if that letter came to Creech. Land knew it. It's a front! They are all in it together. Nothing passes through Creech that Land don't know about.

What was said about the fireman? Did they ever answer the lady about the older crew retiring.

It's hard to retire when you have all the power you want!

Exactly! Why would they retire when they don't even have to do their own job as it is? They have all they power one could need to get anything they want, and when it comes down to having to do some work for a change, they just hire someone to do the work for them.

What idiot in his right mind would retire from that?

The city council chose not to hire lawyers for less money but chose to cut jobs for working people. How reasonable is that? I know people that have been charged a water bill and didn't even have a water meter in the yard. It was to a person that was mentally challenged. What goes around will come around!!

You know what......since you mentioned it....I did not realize that would be the councilmen's alternative. That just goes to show you either they do not understand the process, scared of a reprisal by the chief and/or judge, or just plain ignorant. I think it may be a combination of all three.
