People of Jackson Co. should be aware of a serious case of animal hoarding which is out of control near Ravenswood.
This sick woman has already been busted once... you may recall about 2 years ago, when 70 dogs were taken from a house which reeked of feces. With a good lawyer, she got off and is back at it. Now she's switched from dogs to horses. On land big enough barely for one horse, she now has seven and counting. Her disabled husband, essentially just another animal she's collected, funds her habit with his large VA check. She lies, cheats and damages anyone she's involved with, cleverly manipulating people and the system to get away with her lifestyle, if we can call it that. This couple lives in feces. Their house is full of animals. They are a health hazard to the entire neighborhood. Their horses drink from their leaky septic. And on and on... I could write pages about the stuff going on at that house. All the neighbors eagerly await some action from authorities, but this person is clever at holding them off. She has completely destroyed the house, formerly owned by the Postmaster. Dogs have eaten their way all the way through to the outside, trying to escape. And she has a history of doing this. She has destroyed house after house as she moves around to avoid Animal Control and Elder Protective Services (since she has a mentally disabled husband being kept in filth and not cared for). Fortunately the 2 children she had collected via adoption were taken from her by the State of WV. She had them also living in animal feces. When will something be done about this? If you're local I'll bet you know where I mean... |
