Judge says flashing headlights is free speech
Hauling a truckload of logs to a Southern Oregon mill last fall, Chris Hill noticed a sheriff's deputy behind him and flashed his lights to warn a UPS driver coming the other way.

The AAA in this country is patterned after the English AA and RAC (Royal Automobile Club. Originally, the primary function of these organizations was to warn members -- and only members -- that they were approaching a 'speed trap.' That is why members always put the AA or RAC badge on the front of the car. The the AA man of a motorbike saw the badge, he saluted. If he did not salute, that meant there were police ahead.
