I must ask---did someone see the gun in her purse or did she volunteer the information to the school administration that she carried a weapon? If she volunteered the information, why??? I'm sure there was no need for her to voluntarily tell someone she carried a concealed handgun. I've carried one for decades and no one knows unless I tell them, and I usually have no reason to do so and everyone around me stays blissfully ignorant. I have a special holster built into all my purses which conceals the weapon if my purse is open. You have to lift a velcro flap to get to the gun, otherwise no one would know. There are so many people out there who are afraid of guns and those who carry them that it is just best to not advertise the fact. I was a government employee for many years(but I didn't have to go through a metal detector to go to work) and always had my gun in my purse and no one knew. But I always felt safe and secure and it made it much easier to work in the office where I was assigned.
