Nothing surprises me anymore...
One of these "endorsers" also wants to RUN the City of Ocean Springs for the next 4 years.
He thinks money must grow on trees,... but still HAS NOT figured NOR informed County Taxpayers how much the new Prison complex is going to cost EACH property owner. Wait there aren't enough of them folks - I guess they'll put the squeeze EVERYONE ( even the poor working group )wit a higher Sales Tax.
Is it just me or,... What are / is the Supervisors views on the MPL rate increase,... what groups are they worried about with this issue.
Mr. McKay better get really ready for the upcoming Forums prior to the O.S. Mayoral election.

Who is the consultant that came to the Board of Supervisors meeting representing the party proposing the modular jail construction? Scott Walker and Robbie Maxwell.Who is the consultant that the new Architect is using? You can guess that one.Who has lead the charge to go with this group? John McKay.More will be know shortly about his relationship with the Walker gang which goes way back.

Have the Supervisors lost their minds? The expansion of Medicaid is a ridiculous idea. They think we sould expand Medicaid so we can further entitlements that are already overstretching our State budget. The Board of Supervisors need to focus on things that they can understand and not jump on this political bandwagon. As Governor Bryant stated in a guest editorial ( http://www.governorbryant.com/gov-bryant-gues... ... "Obamacare is packed full of mandates and regulations that will pose huge costs to our state. In fact, the 2014 onset of Obamacare — without a Medicaid expansion — will add $32 million to Mississippi’s existing Medicaid expenditures. For perspective,$32 million is more than four times the State general fund budget for our fighting men and women in the Mississippi National Guard. Even more troubling, while $32 million is a very large sum of money, it is dwarfed by our current Medicaid budget." " Yet, Democrat lawmakers and lobbyists are clamoring to immediately expand the Medicaid program — potentially adding an additional $1 billion to our already enormous Medicaid budget. They want to force this new burden on you, the taxpayers, before we even have all of the necessary information about the costs and ramifications from the federal government. Hospitals and other special-interest groups are pushing talking points designed to create panic when, in reality, states are waiting on the federal government for information about how Medicaid payments to hospitals will be made in the future. At this point in time, we simply don’t have all of the facts — all the more reason not to rush headlong into a very serious decision."
