I am dismayed by the overall condition of Moss Point. We should seriously consider un-incorporation of the city. It can still be known as Moss Point, just as Escatawpa and Kreole are still recognized. We, the citizens and elected officials, have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, our inability to run and maintain a city. Our failure is both obvious and total. We cannot recover from the mess and scandal we currently face. Let's let the county have control of the area. Taxes would be lower, and services and law enforcement could not get any worse. Certainly, the schools in Moss Point might have a chance, since the entire school system is collapsing, just as the infrastructure of the city is. Face it, we are broke, and too ignorant to address and fix our own problems. Just attend School Board and Board of Alderman meetings if you want to see just how bad things are. I love this town, but the time has come to call it quits, we are down for the count.

The city of Moss Point is forever in the news promoting their city as a great place that is on the rise and revenue is souring.
This is crap......
Moss Point wants to hide behind these lies when the city is the sorriest on the coast.
If you don't believe me take a ride through east Moss Point around Walnut Street and on Hwy 63 you will see so much open drug and violent activity it will make you sick.
You will also see nothing being done.
I seriously do not know how they get away with it.
So when you see the lies on the news or in the paper DONT BELIEVE IT

Until we get some good politicians who is not afraid to stand up against the police department and other public officials Moss Point will continue to go down. We have corrupt people in office that is overlooking real problems in Moss Point. Mayor Bishop tried to do his best, he had no support with the police dept.
