What jobs? The shipyard had about 30k jobs 20 years ago. Now it has below ten. Have any of you tried getting a job @ Chevron? Almost impossible. The hospital has stopped hiring.

Like that Mississippi Development idiot, Leland Speed, who spoke out his ass yesterday.

What jobs are these yahoos talking about? Is this one of those cases where this idiot is just saying that we're 'good' because the rest of the state is that bad? The unemployment rate isn't 10% like they're claiming. They DON'T count in people who COULD work but who CAN'T find work.

The real unemployment rate is over 20%. Flowers will bring development to Jackson County?

People moved away because nobody wants to live near the crime in Pascagoula & Moss Point. Whites or the blacks with enough money to leave. Nobody likes being around drunks who urinate in their yards in broad daylight or unemployed bums walking up & down the street @ all hours of the day & night.

Flowers & a few small businesses in downtown selling flowers & art who equal a massive shipyard employing half the county.

You need more factory & shipyard jobs -- not more small businesses.
