thank you to everyone who has done anything to help me family. James was the best cousin i could have asked for. i went to a thing at the Vancleave arrina and that was the last time i've seen him alive :'( i dont want to go to the funeral tomorrow morning but his elder sister asked me to. i really dont want to remember him like this: cold, still, pale, in the casket. he deserves alot more than my family can give him.
James didnt even get to experience the joy of high school. he would have been in 9th grade at Vancleave High School.
James will be missed greatly by the whole family. God bless everyone who has helped us through the horrid time. please pray for my family. we love you James.
sincerly,
Angel Stringer

I knew James from when he had first moved here in Vancleave MS. He had lived down the road from me, and rode my bus he was smart and very intelligent and him and his father always talked about duck hunting, he loved hunting from what I know and they wanted to bring me it least once with them but never got to. I know if I did go though it would've been the most great experience I would have ever had in hunting because James would have made it great, because the fact that he loved it so. James I will remember all the fun times we had waiting for the bus or when I spent the night with your sister and we would sit in the living room and wrestle, I will think of these moments now and in the future and never let them go, because you were a great kid and friend...I will not promise not to cry... cause I will, but I will only cry tears of happiness from the memories, not of your loss....I love you very dearly James Haris and will see you in the future in heaven. :) love always Angela Stringfellow a dear friend

i havnt known james for only about a year. but the day i met him i noticed he was a amazing person easy to get along with and had a big heart. after me and james got to know each other we talked all day everyday then we dated for a little while then broke up but nothing ever changed then and still now he will always have a big peice of my heart. He was someone who put everybody before himself and cared about everyone and now when we look up we will notice that the sun is shinning a little bit more each day. He is in heaven and i know he is happy and im sure i speak for everyone when i say we cant wait to see you again & we love you

I've known James all my life, & he was the best person evr! I love him soooo much & it's going to be really hard to get ovr losin' a close & great friend like him. I'm cryin' right now as I'm writin' this. I live in Meridian, Ms, but me, my mom, my bro, & sis go to Vancleave evry summer to visit them, & me & James always wound up together(bf & gf) evrytime we went down there. I have so many good memories wit him, like this one time I remember we were on this island, & me,him,& brittany walked around the whole island & when we got back our parents, & our bros and sisters were gone & we thought they left us so we started yellin' & after a while we just got in the water. Well, then we started yellin' again and they came back & got us, but their dad was mad & was yellin' at James cause he said there were sharks in the part of the water we were in. I also remember us fightin' & makin' out a lot!(: Hahaa, & this one time when I came outside and he was scalin' fish & he threw the scales at me & I got mad cause it got in my hair & I had just washed it..Idk, I've known him since I was like two or three, so yea, I have a lot of memories wit him. I just want to say tht I love yu James Lindsey harris, yu were my bestfriend + so much more. To tell yu the truth, I was in love wit yu :'[. I wish yu wouldv'e had longer to live, but I know where yu are now, there is no more pain. I'll see yu when I get there. Tell Jesus & the Angels hi for me, & keep them laughin' & smilin' like yu kept us laughin' & smilin'. Rest in peace..I LOVE YU SOOOO MUCH!
