My son is a student at OSHS and he says EVERYONE talked about who was driving the car. The small, white car in question was leaving a (drunken) party being held at the McClain's, party photos were quite visible on Facebook afterwards. Supposedly, the parents of the children in question lawyered up and police cannot ask them anything.
So yes, I believe the police know who did but without a postive ID, confession or physical evidence the crime will never be solved. Plus, OSPD is NOT a big fan of Frank. Can you blame them after the Crusing the Coast debacle?

Everyone knows who did it. OSPD is just a bunch of lazy guys. Funny that whenever a teenager acctually does something wrong they don't do anything. I thought thats what they lived for?

I hate old cliches but I have to use one here. Two wrongs dont make a right. Is Mr. Leach a pompous ass? Yes. Should he have called the police instead of taking matters into his own hands? Yes. Does this make his case any less worthy of investigation and prosecution? No. He was a victim none the less. I am sure there are many different opinions about this matter but you will never be able to convince me that the police refuse to prosecute the guilty merely because Mr. Leach is an ass. Knowing who did something and proving it in a court of law are two different things. I certainly hope that the guilty are held responsible but to throw out wild accusations is childish and couterproductive.

Running someone down with an automobile is attempted murder no matter how you cut it. Remember the John Whitehouse incident? I agree these kids will be pampered and get off scot-free.

Hey the Mayor ran over an old guy and it wasn't criminal. Maybe it was a mistake, like the Mayor said, maybe they were on a cell phone like supposedly the Mayor was. That doesn't make it criminal. Maybe they are afraid to own up as they know the city won't pay %250,000 in medical bills for the victim like it did for the Mayor.

You know whats funny? Frank lurks around this site posting all the time under pseudonyms. Someone told me that when he got injured to watch how all the insulting comments about connie, matt, and others would stop and I'll be damn. The whole time he was in the hospital this site was about issues not people. For about 2 weeks it stopped and Just a couple of days after he went home the trashy crap started right back up just like several of us predicted. This is a very pitiful & petty person.

Let's see....Hmmm.
Frank Leach should not have taken it upon himself to to be law enforcement. He should have called OSPD and let them handle the public urination problem and the party down the street.

The youth that were in the car should have stopped and rendered aid, was it not leaving the scene of an accident with injuries? Shouldn't they have reported it?

So, who is at fault?
1. Frank Leach for not calling the law and letting them handle it.
2. Frank Leach for putting his head where it does not belong.
3. The youth for urinating in public.
4. The youth for not reporting an accident with injuries.
5. The youth for drinking underage.
6. The owner of the house for supplying alcohol to minors?

So which one is correct?
6. No, they would have still got it from somewhere else. But, it is still pretty sorry that the party was not shut down.
4. No, would not have prevented it from hppening.
1. No, c'mon, look where the party was, do you think they would shut down a party in that neighborhood.

So, We are left with numbers 2 and 3. If the kids were not peeing in public Frank Leach would not have approached them. If Frank Leach would not have approached them he would not have been hurt. I say number 3. If they were not peeing in public there would have not been any contact, so, no contact no accident.

They were drinking and got scared, bottom line.

If I saw some someone relieving their self by/in front of my place of resident, I'd ask them what they were doing, but not stick my head in their car window. If the (kids) as you say, did hurt Mr. Leach, then they need to be punished for they actions. The OSPD, regardless of Mr. Leach's way of attending to the problem, should get of their backsides and arrest the so called (kids). Mr. Leach was doing what years ago would have been the appropriate thing to do, we just didn't call the police for every thing. Bottom Line: These young men are responsible for Mr. Leach's injuries and and should be held responsible. A Grandmother!!
