McKay, Leach get into shouting match at supervisors meeting, police back up called in

“I asked a legitimate question. I'm not going to say another word to him.”

Jackson County supervisors Frank Leach and John McKay got into a shouting match Monday and wouldn't stop until the board president called a recess that separated the two and cleared the board room.

A Sheriff's deputy, acting as bailiff, called for back up.

County department heads and others waited in the hall during the 15-minute cool-down, but conversation among them was giddy and laced with tension.

County employees said, 'It made me feel uncomfortable' and 'I thought it was going to come to blows.' They called it out of control, inappropriate and embarrassing. Read more

He's also working to be elected mayor of Ocean Springs, which means he is not 100 percent committed to the position to which he was elected.

Leach is at fault here. MCkay simply asked about 5 thousand dollars worth of damage Leach did to a county vehicle and he went "beserk". I was there and I have seen Leach use this tactic before. Catch him in a lie or suggest he is wrong on an issue and he screams and yells and just flips out. This takes the issue at hand off the table as it then turns into trying to get things calmed down and under control. What a bully. McKay could have brought up the fact that Leach was talking on his cell phone when he wrecked the truck but Leach would have just lied about it and he would have denied it. He is a sicko. I also know for a fact that Leach reads this site and uses made up names to post stuff. He probably is the one who wrote the above 2 posts. Leach...we know what you are up to. Get some help, you need it man.

I couldn't care less about Leach vs McKay. I think they're both childish and immature and their bickering does a great disservice to the people of Jackson County. I also believe that John McKay does a great disservice to his constituents when he runs for reelection knowing fully well that he also intends to run for Mayor of Ocean Springs.

And for your information, Mr. Know It All, this is not Frank Leach. But I know who you are. You're one of the Bradford Pears that Frank ran over and you're carrying a grudge.

Anyone who has never witnessed Frank Leach in action can go to the link below to hear an actual recording of the type of verbal abuse he is capable of. The last 30 seconds or so where he is screaming like a raving lunatic is just a small example of what many have had to endure from him over the years. Fortunately his time in office is over and he is no longer in a position to make decisions that will affect the people of this area.

Yep...he wrecked a county truck causing over 5k in damage. Hit a tree in front of the post office and DID NOT call the police. He simply drove off and had the vehicle put in the shop to be repaired. The county self insures their vehicles meaning there was no insurance company to fall back on and the 5k had to come out of the county road department budget. When McKay asked about the accident and what the plan was to restore the funds back to the road department...well listen for yourself how Leach reacted... http://videos.sunherald.com/vmix_hosted_apps/

I as a citizen of Jackson county say. If we were to self insure his or her we would be ticked. This just goes to show you just how stupid our leaders are in Jackson county.

Maybe Linda McKay will get what she deserves someday! Madame Supervisor McKay is quite good at casting out falsehoods and inaccuracies. I only hope that supervisor McKay will one day be able to speak the truth instead of the constant lies that he rests upon. It was interesting that he would call his employer Chevron and advise them that he wouldn't be able to come to work because his supervisorís meeting was not finished, when in fact it had already been adjourned. He loves to take credit for things that he was only along for the ride. One such item is the bridge on the road to St. Andrews. Bert Patterson, in reality should have been applauded, not John McKay. John didnít even participate in the meetings with the State Port Authority, who paid for the Bridge as a mitigation project. John's only claim to fame is that he wanted to place a plaque, which cost over $3,000, on the bridge after it was finished. This, as usual, was to assure John that he could try to take all the credit for doing nothing. As for the accident involving the County vehicle, The Ocean SPrings PD was called and a report was filed after a vehicle ran Mr. Leach off the road. One day, the truth shall prevail!

We have estimated there were approximately 800 to a 1000 plates of food handed out today, even in the rain the people came out to express their concerns and voice their questions to Butch Loper in the upcoming Supervisor election against John McKay. It was a fantastic day and just about everyone that came today is in favor of the positive change that Butch Loper will bring to Jackson County.

I've known Butch my whole life and I wish he was in my area... He has served the public well in the jobs he has had in the county. I believe he is the best candidate.

Without a doubt, Butch is the best candidate. An honest man that doesn't have a personal agenda and also doesn't have a wife that thinks she is the supervisor!
