Commission to consider one-time pay raise

Following suit from the Scottsboro City Council, the Jackson County Commission will consider approving one-time $100 pay raise for employees.

I always thought it was funny the government takes care of it's own kind with pay raises and extra holidays yet some of the hardest workers known are still making minimum wage. And, we all know you can't live off of that even after they raised it to 7.25 this past July. I've had one opportunity in asking a politician and he said, "without me you wouldn't have a job." My reply was, "without me you couldn't get to your job so I could have a job." Now that guy will be serving prison time as he was the mayor Richard Arington of Birmingham, Alabama. God Bess the FBI right now, but, there are still a lot more politicians at large.
