Cities shrinking across area
Standing behind the counter of her cluttered sporting goods store, Kendal Storey is not surprised to learn that her town is one of the tri-state area's shrinking cities.

With the Illegal Mexicans moving into the area and the way they have babies like rabbits, the population will double in two years.
Prepare to have double signage on all the stores...English and Spanish.

Would a "doubled" population mean more people in the town? More potential shoppers?
What is happening in small towns all across America is the same thing happening here. More folks shop at the big box retailers, and Mom & Pop stores go by the wayside.
Bridgeport also has developed a reputation for drugs, and after the subdivision out on 277, there has been very little new house development. People don't want to come here.
Plus, your citizens have to agressively support businesses in the area, or they close up.
