County to appeal jury's decision in suit

Isle of Wight - The county will appeal a jury's decision to award $195,000 in damages to a former Isle of Wight County parks and recreation administrator who sued Assistant County Administrator Patrick Small for defamation and the county for breach of contract.

Another example of local government that has gone out of control. These people in the big local government jobs just can't blame an inocent underling to protect their own misdeeds. I hope the appelate court doubles the award and slaps down such action by the local government pols. We need some accountability and that usually only comes when the court interviens.
