Irwin clerk of court arrested

The Irwin County Clerk of Superior Court has turned herself in to answer accusations that she used her position to steal money from the Irwin County government.

Gee Little Rock AR, who piddled in your cheerios? Take a look at what is happening in Ocilla Ga, murder and corruption galore. What? Are you related to the county clerk? I am not quick to judge anything or anyone unlike you. My concerns are for the good folks of Ocilla and finding justice for those who can no longer speak for themselves. Help us find Tara Grinstead. I believe the news reports speak for themselves.

Let's count the few things I happen to know first hand about Ocilla Ga and the so called law they claim to uphold. You got several instances where people can get a divorce, sometimes for several months without the other person even being aware, complete with signed and NOTORIZED signatures. Compliments of the clerk? Not to mention increase in child support, change of custody and all without the other person being notified or served the way all other people outside Ocilla by law need to be in order to use the courts. Compliments of the clerk? Kids that are 13 and drive on state and federal roads without one probnlem from local law enforcement because they have weekend parties with parents. Got plenty of proof for that one. How about kids that don't go to school at age 14 because their mothers are such pains no one wants to hear the screaming and cussing and finger pointing? Law enforcement in Ocilla is a joke. Why wonder it carries over into the court system. Look around.

Sad day for Ocilla...... sad days my friend. Never seen and read about so much corruption in my life. Who can these good folks of Ocilla trust? Sounds like Ga goverment and law enforcement need an overhaulin!

nothing about ocilla and the people in it is a suprise anymore...it amazes me that some of these people really think they can do this sort of thing and get away with it...like they are above the law...and this just may be another time that they get away with a whole lot of taxpayers money. the citizens of this county should not have to keep paying so elected official can ride around in new vehicles and pay off their mortgages and take long golfing vacations...its just not right!

Just add one more issue to the list. Ocilla is one of those places where the rules the rest of us have to live by do not apply to those who live there. Makes you wonder how many court documents need to be verified. Real Estate holdings, taxes, property information, voter registration, birth and death certificates, marriage and divorce, Arrests and conviction documents might present a certain nightmare. They might want to change the town slogan to " Bring you money and any thing is possible"

I have no idea why I find this information shocking. I was under the impression that only the most privilaged and socially intuned with those holding power in Ocilla Georgia could manipulate the courts to do their bidding. She has been in office for fours years? Maybe more? Started as a clerk in the same court system? Worked her way to the top? What a horrible thought. How many people have been affected? Bad history from this place as far away as Arkansas and Canada might warrant Bush to change his mind about that fence at the Mexican border.

Just what i thought.....its a mess. At least we know where to look now. Look deep, its only going to get worse, i fear she is the tip of the iceburg.

The system that operates out of Irwin County is nothing short of a Kangaroo Court. A joke to anyone outside. Yes. Save it for a town or city that finds this behavior abnormal. These people find it a problem when they get caught. Nothing good has come from this small city in many years. Probably 20 to say the least.
