Both parties are bought and paid for. The deficit is not the problem, the problem is too much money on the supply side and none on the demand side.

America has plenty of money, it's just in too few hands.

We don't need civil conversation, we need legitimate ideas.

Mr. Politis, your politics and mine may be as different as night and day, but I really enjoyed this article.

And I don't resent anybody for being too rich!

Sorry, Paul. I will never trust a Republican! And will not waste a minute of my time chatting with one about his/her misguided beliefs.

Why is it, Paul, that the Leftist Liberal Democratic Party simply cannot grasp that the nation has 14 Trillions of DEBT and must stop spending? Why won't Obama get serious about the budget?

Paul, I enjoyed your letter. In the process of political discourse, liberal and conservative need to find a way to disagree without being disagreeable. I would welcome the opportunity to sit down together and discuss political issues with you or anyone else. Just let me know when and where!

It's funny that we never heard any of this claptrap when the Democrats controlled EVERYTHING. The only thing we heard was "we won".

No thanks, Paul, we have nothing to talk about.

As a local TEA Party leader I can firmly say, "he** no". We don't need your input or ideas.
Ours are just fine. Stop wasting my money. I'm tired of hearing about the poor. I'm doing just fine so leave me alone!

Is this the same paul politis that called the voters of Franklin County "money worshipers", "greedy", and "ignorant" in another LTE after he was soundly defeated when he ran for US Congress in 2004?

Now he wants to make nice after his party took a thumping at the ballot box?

I find his "new tone" very hard to believe

If you read American labor history you understand that they were arguing about the same things in 1750 that we are today.

The rich have ALWAYS wanted us to work for nothing.

Seems to me you have ALOT of time on your hands and NOT working

Of course voting Democrat has always been easier then working for a living

And Big Al always finds it easier to lie rather to discuss the facts.

Then Big Al must be a Republican if he lies because Republicans have raised lying to an art form.

Wrong! PBS just broadcast a biography of H.J. Heinz (Heinz 57) and said that Heinz did not cut wages of his workers during the Great Depression. Your negative outlook speaks volumes about you. The Heinz company has a history of caring for its employees.
