Of course they settled. If they would've took it to court it would've been 3.5 million instead of 350k. They should feel lucky the victim took it easy on them. The filthy swine are gonna have to watch their collective arses now.

Darrin is lucky that it didn't go to court since he was so intoxicated that he didn't remember anything that happened. He has told many people that. It's not that often that the one sueing offers up the first couple settlements.'Have your insurance company pay me & I won't have to perjur myself in court... What a freaking joke!

Darrin knew everything that happened, he gave detailed statement to me and to the Assistant US Attorney giving details about how he was beaten in the yard and in the jail. He always said he just wanted justice and said no matter how much money he got,it wouldn't take away what the sheriff and the officers did to him or give him back his time lost suffering in the jail. He just didn't want other people to be treated the way he was.

Anybody can repeat what you tell them to. Lawyers "coach" clients every day. How many times did you show him the video before he "remembered" details?

Jake, I think you need to lay off the sauce, grow up, & move on. You should also take channel 4 off your speed dial, you saw how well that worked for you Saturday at the Picnic. It's about time they start seeing the truth. Thank you for that stunt though, it showed them (channel 4) who the community really supports (sheriff) and how dishonest and juvenille you really are. It also showed them that we are tired of your antics and don't want your made up drama. I really think that you've lost touch with reality man, you should really get some help for that.

Sorry to say Bubba, your the one that has lost touch with reality, if you seriously think that the community supports the sheriff. He has made a complete ass of himself and assumes in time people will forget his pathetic behavior. Don't think so!

Seems we have lost the reason for the call out in the first place. Shots fired, drinking and a known felon. He did not comply with the order to take his hands out of his pocket or any other order. The beating, I don't approve of, but getting him under control was important.Did anyone see any tape of the sheriff beating him???? No there was no tape but to judge some on hearsay of a meth head is wrong.

The ouster was dismissed on Friday morning. I wonder why channel 4 or that "site" haven't given the people an update? I'm fairly sure that the attorney who fied the ouster has already fled the county because he was duped into all this. Congratulations to Sheriff Davis, his family, and the citizens of Humphreys county! There's only one more thing to be dealt with, the defamation case against Jake Lockert, and then everything can be put in the past for these good folks. GO GET HIM SHERIFF! I FOR ONE, CAN'T WAIT FOR THR PUBLIC TO FIND OUT ABOUT LOCKERT'S SHADY DOINGS!
