From what I hear he was not drunk and had not been drinking when he wrecked. He was on his way home from work and was going to work on the farm. He had a 6 pack in the car but they had not been opened. Mike you might want to find out the facts before you run your mouth. This man had kids and grandkids.

A lot of things people shouldn't be doing while driving, how about all these inconsiderate idiots jabbering and texting on their stupid cell phones while driving.

I lose count of all the morons I notice jabbering on their phones and I also see quite a few people texting as well(it is obvious what they are doing when you can see them in their own rear view mirrors looking down then back up, then down, then back up.

Reason I notice this when I'm driving is because I'm actually paying attention when I drive, not blabbing on the phone.

It is amazing to me that someone would choose to make such comments about someone whom you obviously do not know. I wonder how lonely of life you must live-I wonder if you realize mike burns has a family left behind, 4 kids, a wife, 4grandchildren,two brothers, a sister, a mother whose buried three of her six children - he leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who are going to miss him horribly-he was an unbelievably hard working, generous, caring man, an awesome provider, a great dad, a good husband- he was all the things, you should aspire to be-rather than wasting your time trying to destroy the integrity of my uncle- think about how u would feel, if this was your child, your spouse---- I will pray for you - you need it! As my brother said, u should think before you speak!

I guess the state cops are wrong and reported the wrong information.

I had a friend killed by a drunk driver, so I guess I can open my mouth when I want to. FREE COUNTRY!

All of the news channels reported the same things-drugs or alcohol are suspected in the crash.

It was reported by the cops not me. SO the FAMILY needs to be pissed off at them, and keep your mouths shut trying to defend a impared driver.

It don't matter if he did have a case of beer in the car he(according to the cops) was either on drugs or alcohol!

A Highland County crash has claimed the life of a 58-year old man.

Crews were called to a two car accident at State Route 247 near Buckely Road in Washington Township just before 5am Sunday morning.

So far OSP has determined that 58-year old Michael Burns, of Seaman, Ohio, was driving southbound on 247 when he crossed the double yellow line; striking a vehicle driving in the northbound lane.

Burns hit a pick-up truck driven by 32 year old Scott Hargett, also from Seaman Ohio. Burns died at the crash scene, Hargett was flown to Miami Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Although in the early stages of investigation alcohol and drugs are suspected as factors in the crash. It is also still being determined if seat belts were used.

Mike, you're an idiot. In the sentence you pointed out it says suspected. Besides that the paper also said that it happened at 5:oo AM and it was 5:oo PM. You should have just said sorry not try to defend what an idiot you are. Have you ever heard the saying you can't believe everything you hear. Well that goes for the newspaper also. Cops are also human and say things they shouldn't before they get all the info.

Have you ever heard the saying Rest in Peace? This agrument is bizarre. I' m sorry you lost a friend to a drunk driver. This man lost his own life coming home from work, a contruction job he worked at many yrs at. Besides it was 5 pm not am...who is drunk at that time? Accidents happen everyday. I dont understand why you feel the need to express your anger to this family. They lost a loved one....cant they grieve without all this nonsense. Stop making yourself look stupid on a gossip website. Regardless if you know them or not...which Im assuming you dont they deserve an apology. The reports were incorrect and they shouldnt have to defend him on here. Its ignotant.
