lets get the FELLONS off the county commision. can't follow the law but in Hickman County you can get elected to MAKE the law, Think about what this looks like to outsiders, and outsiders will be the one that come and start busness to employ people. Insted what we attract are other fellons "BIRDS OF A FETHER"

I'll pick the Chancery Judge, Centerville City Attorney Melanie Totty Cagle, Circuit Court Clerk, Clerk & Master, Circuit Judge Jim Martin, County Attorney Dana Dye, Commissioners Brad Leeper, Dusty Jordan, County Mayor, Court Clerk, District Attorney, EMA Director, Finance Director, Property Assessor, Trustee, some School Board members, School Director, Solid Waste Director, Vision 21 Director.
A few of the others I haven't decided yet.
i agree 100% that melanie totty cagle needs to be replaced. she is horrible at what she does. she is all about the money and not about whats good for people or children. wish the bar associates could deal with her. she needs to loose her job.

Yea. The best free entertainment around. Last night they gave Judge Sam Smith $3000 just to prevent a lawsuit. Remember last month it was to strike a deal with the single wide people for $50,000 because the zoning director made a major boo boo. The single wide people needs to remember they are going to need more than that to move, re-set a doublewide and many years of paying more taxes on a double wide assessed the same as a house. And why do some commissioner's get on committee's and then never show up and then miss commissioner meetings? 2 were absent last night Nash & Ward. Ms. Ward has missed almost more than she's been there. Regardless of the reason, if you can not attend the meetings and represent the people in your district then you need to step down. Oh, but that might mean you might have to give up the free medical insurance. 13 commissioners get the free insurance perk at the taxpayers expense.

In my opinion, we have to many county commissioners. I don't understand why the people in the Tea Party have not attempted to start a petition to get a referendum on the ballot to knock our number of county commissioners down to one for each district. There is no reason why we need so many commissioners. We only need one for each district. Cutting the others would save the county alot of money. Instead of cutting emergency services positions, which is never a good idea, they need to cut the commissioners. We've got commissioners that are convicted felons, ones that don't show up to the meetings half the time, and others who can't even pay their taxes and solid waste assessments. The people of Hickman County need to unite against and to show everyone that the voter still has a say. I'm tired of hearing people on here complaining about the commissioners. The only way anything is going to get done is for people to get out and do something about it. I'm sure the people in the Tea Party could vouch for that. When they showed up at a recent county commission meeting they showed up in force and guess what.... The commission decided against increasing the county wheel tax, which some of them don't even pay. I won't say any names... but trust me there are some that won't even go and get their proper vehicle tags. One in particular that I see driving a commercial truck without tags and pulling a bulldozer. I hope a petition to do this can be started and I will be glad to sign my name to it. We have more county commissioners in this county than we have County Sheriff's Deputies or Emergency Medical Personnel. Where is the sense in that? Like most everything else around here, common sense is lacking.

I've only been able to go to 1 Tea meeting because the time conflicts with my working schedule but the one meeting I went to was WOW! Those people are movers and shakers. They focus on making local change and open honest government. They only act on stuff that is brought to their attention in the meetings and whoever supports the idea band together and makes things happen. You need to share your idea with them and see how many of them agrees and will support you. It probably will not happen if the Tea Party doesn't get involved.

One commissioner from each district? Are you kidding me? That would give us only 7 people running the legislative body. Can you imagine if 4 of those 7 were Charles Booker, Rober Capps, Kenneth Bates, and Billy Blackwell? That's a majority. Think about it. Not a good idea.

Four things all these people you mention have in common: Honest, go to all their assigned meetings, make decisions based on what the people want & can afford and does not spend county money to Bolivia. The spend thrift commissioners need to be voted out of office and the people will speak and know who the spend thrifts are come next election. That's a promise!

Hickman Co.Circuit Court Clerk, since there has been a forged document slipped into someone's case file which has caused the children in this case to be away from their mother for months. The mother's attorney said TBI would be contacted this coming week in this matter,he wanted everybody that was involved with the forging of this document, including the father which is known to be involved because he has shown it to several people and told where he went to have it done. There was also a document that the father lied on it,the father told he was contacted by the principal of the children's school and was told the mother was trying to remove the children from school, when the principal found out about this she came to the circuit court clerks office and told them that she wanted it stated in writing that she never said the mother was trying to remove the children from school, this never was done by the clerks office and the judge was never told of this happening resulting in a restraining order against the mother. The taxpayers of Hickman Co. does not need to be paying for such doings in this office. How many other documents have been forged in this office? I see now, it is who you know in this county that can get things done.

I don't see how they can find anything in that office. There is one desk in there that you cannot see for the files stacked on it and the crates of files around it.

It looks like some of them,I'm not saying all, spend more time doing favors for their friends, than they are doing their job. They act like they don't even want you to come get copies of your own paperwork.they ask "Well want do you want it for?" like it is any of their buisiness. There was only one lady that was nice and acted like she didn't mind doing her job.I think they thought that we were so stupid we wouldn't notice that fradulant paper that was slipped in the case file, but the father in this case has a big mouth,I knew he had done something he was bragging to other people how he had a friend to help him out.I hope she get's charged for this just like he does, but nothing can change the hurt they have caused these kids and their mother.
