3 people shot dead in Hertford Co., NC

Authorities in Hertford County, North Carolina are investigating an apparent double-murder suicide.

I'm Penny's cousin and I am just thankful that she and the rest of my family are physically okay. We are thankful for all of the prayers during this time of pain and I'm sure Penny appreciates them as well.

No matter what the exact reason, the fact remains that there are people dead. This is a great example of how we should always be trying to lift people up. We never know what trials, and hurt a person is experiencing. Is what Nash did right, or even justified? Absolutely not. But, people don't kill people for no reason. Apparently Nash was dealing with demons way larger than himself. There are people in each of our neighborhoods in this same situation. Never judge them, always show love-sometimes tough love is needed but, love none the less! Not only his current wife but, previous, son, mother and sister need prayer. God Bless!

a senseless act,i knew one of the victims and his wife,very fine people,they did not deserve this,no one does.they need alot of prayers from everyone,please do this for them.

This was a tragic event that shook this little town of Como up. I stay not even a mile from the United Turf Farm and for it to be this close it has opened my eyes up that tragedy and crime can strike in even the tiniest communities. My heart and prayers go out to the victims and their famalies.

His marriage wasn't failing...his whole world was. His wife is a wonderful woman who did any and everything she thought he needed. Don't judge when you don't know the whole story.

We are family to Larry Wayne Parker (victim). Our hearts are breaking for all who are greiving. Judy (Larry Wayne's wife), we love you very much and even though we are not with you right now, we love you and our hearts are breaking with you. This was a senseless act regardless of the motive. Our thoughts and prayers are with the other victims family and also with his wife (Penny) as she recovers from her injuries.
