What else is Topix supposed to be for? Commenting on the news and those in it.
Sure, we know what is going on, most of us live in the area or have close connections to Spring Hill/Hernando County. Sure, sometimes it gets a little ridiculous, but the facts are the facts and the way some people have choosen to live their lives has become a burden on society as a whole. These people tend to wind up in the news more than average Working Joe and Jane. And if you can say you dont feel that society is slipping down a steep slope, I'd like to hear why not.

Your post is painful to read. With run-on sentences and your support for crack-head hoes, it shows me you're not any better. Go back to school stinky. Your worthless opinion doesn't count for spit.

But she's getting her life back together. She's going to court seeking welfare and support payments for her 4 kids. To bad the baby-daddies are in prison.

She's also studying for her GED. She wants to move out of her mother's house and get her own place at age 30.

She wants to become a rap star.

I wonder why bail for the useless-oxygen consumer is 206 grand?

Make it 200, or 225, 250. Why 206? At least it keeps the pig off the streets.

Yep, all on our dime. Own place, GED so she can apply for a job at Burger King. Then we can pay for her 4 kids to go to day care.

This woman should have been thinking of her future before she started popping out kids like a 4 slice toaster.

To Na Na, learn how to spell JUDGING, you drop the "e" off when it becomes a verb-action word.

We're taxpayers so we are supporting these people, since they rely on us for their lifestyle.

We can judge. BTW the third branch of the govt. is the Judicial system.

And this is board to discuss local issues, most threads come right off the stories listed on here.

ABCD, there was a story on a "single mom" on the South Side of Chicago, 29yrs old - 8 kids!!!! From ages 11 to 3 months, her latest boyfriend was 20.

She got arrested because she left them alone.

They need to have their plumbing fixed.

That would be a good start. This problem has been festering for decades and now it has become "socially acceptable". Sheesh. These attempts at human beings are a waste of life and federal/state money.

I find it interesting that you condemn all these women, funny back in the 30's 40's there were many large families, some had 5, 6 or 10+ kids, would they have been condemned by you both back then. Yes, you could say that birth control wasn't available back then and with religious considerations, they had as many kids that they could handle. Forward to today, couples today have 2 or 3 depending on their economic situation. Whose to say how many kids you can have, accidents happen, even with the best birth control out there. I find that your condemnation of these women offensive.

Maybe we should pick out all the blondes of this world/blue eyes and have them put in gas chambers or redheads with brown eyes, then they wouldn't be able to create bast*(ds. This is 2009 not 1942 your thinking is warped.

In the 30's and 40's there was not a system that provided for single mothers who pop out kids in order to collect more cash. That was an invention of the 1960's. The game was created and will be played until the government takes the chips off the table, once and for all.

Back then there wasnt any government programs to support those families, so the father did. You cannot compare the attitudes of those in the past to those of today. Today a baby is a pay check.
Then it was an expense.

Good for you! I hope when the system fails and folds, due to the weight that "single moms" with multiple children has on it, that you have a plan.
I have mine.

Some day we should sit down and talk about it. You are a native, you know what would happen if a busload of
ingrates headed north from Tampa/St. Pete and tried to overun you. Me and some neighbors are working on the same thing. A defense zone for a 5 house
area around us. Once the economy completly tanks, as it will in the next few years, guaranteed, there is going to be a lot of people annoyed about loosing their food stamps and welfare checks.
