There are 8 comments on the WKTV story from Jun 2, 2011, titled Familiar faces dish up breakfast for Herkimer County Historical Society fundraiser. In it, WKTV reports that:

LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. - If the servers dishing up breakfast at the Knights Inn in Little Falls looked somewhat familiar on Thursday, it's because they were culled from a variety of careers throughout the community to wait on tables and raise money for the Herkimer County Historical Society.

This is a nice realistic article referring to the servers as "familiar faces." In the LF Times we had to put up with advertisements and articles every other day with Sue perkins referring to herself and local local
local businessmen, politicians, and coroners "celebrities.". Sue perkins has contributed to a few historical books by rounding up info on OTHER people from the community. I am glad this article referred to them as "familiar faces.". We have actual "celebrities" from this area. No wonder some people think some of the people from this area think to highly of themselves. They need a reality break.

It would be nice if they volunteered their time on a day off, like a Saturday or Sunday.I think familiar faces is a better statement too, because many of them think they are VIPs when in effect they are really nothing any more special than the rest of us.For some reason somebody thinks we all want to patronize these individuals at cooking contests and other events, etc.I don't really think that is the case.

Let''s face it. the dollars raised with help the historicql society. That's a noble cause. It's not the same as the politicians serving breakfast at the Herkimer VFW with a goal of feeding their own campaign chest. I say hurrah for sue and congratulations for getting them to come out and help.

My family is one of the families from Herkimer County that is contacted to donate and contribute to just about everything, just like I am sure Attorney Aney is. Ms. Perkins is abrasive and none of my family members wanted to respond to her requests. I did, however, only to receive no gratitude nor thank you. There are 2 other women in LF with that rude reputation. My family members were right and next time I won't get the contributions for Ms. Perkins. We love the Herkimer County Historical Society though and will always contribute to them. We don't like presumptuous rude requests though. My family is internationally recognized and contribute to many groups, foundations, charities, etc. Kindness and sensitivity goes a long way.

Sometimes people with money think that makes them magnificent. With money they can buy anything material, but notoriety gives them prestige. Many times you have to question their sincerity to the causes they participate in.Many times they prefer to designate others to do the job, as they get the recognition. These types claim to do so much for others, while they look down on everybody.Think about that sentence for a moment, you will see that often times it makes sense with particular individuals. There I go again, sorry.
