Frankfort Mayor Frank Moracco says he has been talking with officials from an automaker which is interested in building a plant at the old Union Tools site in the Village.

Why not offer them them the Pumpkin Patch. Supposedly it is shovel ready and no contamination. I'm not sure if it has village electric but it has village water. This is a no brainer. Construction could start immediately. Start selling the idea town supervisor. It's time you do something for the town and village.

And by the way! You didn't want delivery trucks clogging Main Street in Frankfort from a super store (supposedly) way up on the hill....and you're talking about an automaker.....ON MAIN STREET ??? Are you out of your greasball mind? WTF are you thinking about!! You think village officals are going to allow THAT??? They'd have to build another Main St. out of town. USE YOUR PHUCKING HEAD instead of just for a hat rack.

We didn't complain about the traffic- the town super didn't want it. He has kept many businesses out of here. Look how successful buying the catholic school turned out and the whole county compensation crap. Yeah. He's looking out for us!

I believe that this was something started by Moracco, the Mayor of Frankfort to try to get re-elected. Then after the elections the cracks appeared. Then it became a dead issue.
I think there are a lot of good people in Frankfort, as there are in any community, but they had to be pretty gullible to believe that BS in the first place. Then again, Moracco won by only a few votes against a relatively unknown. Maybe there were a lot of people who saw through his BS.
As far a Frankfort being able to accommodate an auto factory I don't see a problem with that. There is a lot of property and Union Tools probably employed over 300 at one time. They could develop traffic patterns to ease what congestion it could cause. But that is a good kind of congestion to have.

Maybe pave an inlet from Industrial Drive to the other side of Union Tool to save Main Street from congestion...
Now, what automaker would move to Frankfort? SUBARU?(minus the S and last U and replace first letter with F) Yes in the future you can proudly say "I'm from Frankfort, New York otherwise known as FUBARville"
