Hendersonville's law enforcement is much scarier than Buncombe County's. Por emplejo, a few months ago a friend of mine wound up getting an open container ticket because someone had left a 40 bottle in a backpack in the back seat that the seal had been broken on. My friend, who was being very responsible and acting as DD, obviously had no idea it was in his car as he gladly gave the officer permission to search his vehicle and he hadn't even had a sip of any type of alcohol all night. Oh, he was pulled over in the first place because his tail light was out; he just happened to have long hair, an old car, and a lot of bumper stickers.
That's just one example. But from growing up in Hendersonville prior to being old enough to drive & promptly escaping to Asheville on a daily basis, the LEOs llllllllove to nail people for anything they can if they don't a have a fishook in their hats and Bush '04 stickers on the back of their trucks.
Don't get me wrong; I have respect for anyone who strives to serve his or her community, especially in a potentially hazardous job. It's abuse of power I take issue with. I was responding to the difference in the severity with which infractions are treated in Henderson County as opposed to Buncombe County, too, not the fact that two people got busted with meth; I'm glad they got caught before they had a chance to pass on that awful drug to anyone else.

Aren't the legal, hard-working Hispanics upset that some of their own are giving them all a bad name?

Law enforcement doesn't set bails. That is up to the county magistrates.

And I'm guessing there is just a little more to the story than you or your friend is divulging.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Scorpio

Don't believe everything you see today and your memory could be playing tricks on you, too. You might remember things in a distorted or false way, through no fault of your own. You may also be reading too much into the situations that are going on around you, making it hard for you to know what's really happening. Try not to make any big decisions today because you simply aren't thinking straight.
