Has anyone taken sniffer dogs out to locate her?
The article states they had exhausted all resources i suppose it also means sniffer dogs, i guess she will turn up usually quite by accident.

I feel as though the husband should of not left her alone with the dx of dementia, d/t the fact that she has wondered off before, but was found hours later.
D/T our society now there have been more elderly people coming up missing then young people.
Also I think that her husband should of had someone watch her while he was gone, also is it true from what I read in the paper that the husband left shortly after she went outside???.
I feel as though there is some foul play here, and am saddened by her disappearence.

Mary, do you know the ages of this couple? I'm thinking with them being elderly, it's possible they had no one to help him and maybe he had to pick up something for her from the store. Just a thought.

Yes!!,I do know the ages of the people and on the news it stated that he left her alone to go out of town on a business trip and this information was on the internet.
I just feel like this woman has been missing over 1 month with no leads or scents for the dogs, this is not normal for a confused woman with dementia, to not be seen by anyone.
I'm not trying to be rude about it, but I am a nurse and I have cared for plenty of alzheimers/dementia pts for over 20+ years.
Sorry for the reality check!!!!.

Reality check? I wasn't trying to come off rude. I simply didn't know the couple's situation with family. As a matter of fact, I know very little about this story.

I personally know this family and just so happened to stumble across this page. I just want to let you all know that they are still actively searching for her and it wasn't that she often wandered. She found it therapeutic to walk, she lived way out in the country with very friendly neighbors and she often walked to close (in location)family members residences. I just wanted to say that people who are personally affected by this do read these posts and to please keep any negativity and what not out of them.

Happy New Year, Saggitarius! Despite the headache, your motivation level is high today, setting a trend for the rest of the year. You'll be surrounded by relatives and friends all year and will work passionately to help them, as you do. Things go smoothly today, and you're absorbed with the duties of new year. Be careful that you don't neglect your own health, though. You can't help others if you're run down.
