Reserve deputy arrested on suspicion of rape

Hempstead County Sheriff Jerry Crane said he subsequently fired Jeffery L. Mayle, 47, who was arrested Wednesday on the charge.

I can't believe this hasn't received any comments... If the allegations are true I believe he deserves the strictest punishment there is not only for the pain & grief he subjected the woman too but for putting this shameful mark on the law enforcement profession.

The reason that there are no comments are you have to understand the worthlessness of the police department here. The deputies and investigators are too into their own drug dealings and helping out their friends or who ever can pay them enough to really give a damn about actually enforcing the laws. There is even an officer that is paid to marry and divorce foriegn women just to make them legal. Pretty sorry state of AFFAIRS

What in the hell are you talking about? I'm from Prescott, AR & have lived here all my life & I know all of the officers with Hope PD & Hempstead County. My location shows Russellville b/c that's where my IP address registers because I haven't actually made an account on here. So if you thought you could just run your mouth ignorantly to someone that doesn't have a clue try again. This man obviously has put a bad name to HIS law enforcement career but don't group him together with the brave officers that put their lives on the line every day for cowards like yourself. They'd be the 1st ones you'd call if your home was broken into, car was stolen, or if you heard someone outside your window late at night.

Thank You for your support! I had no idea this was even here.It IS TRUE!!! I am the one it happened to and, he has had the nerve to bring me back home and, want to talk to my boyfriend! Hope he enjoyed the Budweiser. He was way to cool about the whole situation that made's me feel that this is NOT the first time he has done this! You read things like this but, NEVER think it would happen to yourself! Well, It did happen to me!

I am new here in this town even though this happened to me because my 4 yr old and, my home burned in Texarkana other wise it would of never happened to me! Sheriff Crane and, Singleton DID Jump and, wasted no time investigating the terrible act Mayle did to me! They were great and, maybe you need to move to Bowie County if want officers to abuse the community. They let my ex-GIVE my 3yr old A BLACK EYE and, did NOTHING!!!!!
