Bad place. To work and for the residents!

I used to work there. There are not enough workers for the number of people that live there so only the ones who have relatives check on them daily get better taken care of. The shower rooms are ice cold and the food is ok but there are flies in the kitchen in the summer so I never ate the food there. It aint the best place but it aint the worst.

I used to work there. The kitchen is hell in the summer-- sooooo hot!!! Old ovens, old stoves, poorly managed. I never worked in a place with so much gossip and back stabbing and foul language used around the residents!!

I worked at hart Co health care. It wasn't a good experience. They r really lacking in their infection control measures. They aren't focusing on the right things for good patient care. The residents are not wiped with their brief changes unless soiled with bm. Almost everyone seemed to have some kind of skin care issue. There are not enough linens for cnas to do their jobs properly so often a dirty sheet is left on a bed. I saw cnas use the same pair of gloves for numerous residents. Vitals equipment was not in proper working order. The lifts and slings are outdated along with all the resident beds. I would not reccomend this long term care facility for your loved one. My great grandmother was actually a resident there a long time ago-long story short-my grandma had to sue. Residents were given prn meds for agitation or anxiety-when there were no signs of either. The doctors are unattentive and unconcerned, uncaring. When someone needs to go to or from the hospital they are put on a stretcher and wheeled back and forth across the parking lot to caverna hospital even when its 35 degrees outside and 3 in the morning. I can understand the cost effectiveness and convienence of this, but when its the middle of the night and its the dead of winter its not good for the residents or the cnas. The place just does not operate with the proper standard of care when their business is people.
