I want to report,as a person only 100 feet away from the EXCESSIVE gunfire on 12.29.07, that there were LOTS of bullets expended to kill ONE fox. The animal control officer WOULD NOT consider having the community contacted the bury the remains of the fox (brain removed to check for rabies). The police weren't very nice either and they were on scene. I want PROOF the fox was rabid. And still wonder why the police chose to shoot a moving target rather than waiting for animal control to show up with a net.
