Was is the key word. Steve is a lousy sheriff. He fails to support his deputies or his county. He is an absentee sheriff who is merely passing time so he can retire. Steve and his underhanded dealings are an embarrassment to Hancock County. Not to mention the laughable administrative staff.

Good to see him go.

Hancock county will be a great place without Steve in office. He is a horrible sheriff who will not back up his guys. Along with everyone else in the office. He only hired people that was in his "good ole boy" click. It will be a great place in hancock once he is gone. Hopefully he will take all the other clowns in office along with him. AND I HOPE THAT Eric Moran Sr. Does not got sheriff.. He will be worst then Garber. He will have his whole department running out of waffle house. That would become there new headquarters.

Ok about Steve Garber being sheriff i have no comment but as far as Eric Moran goes you really have no idea what you are talking about. Think about this. All of the people in Hancock County eat at waffle house. ALL OF THEM!!!! Therefore if you were the warrants officer would you not go there in order to serve warrants to those individuals. If you would not then you have no business speaking about how an officer does his or her job. Also to put Steve Garber and Eric Moran in the same category would be like putting oil and water in the same container. One lubricant causes destruction and pollution while the other is cleansing and pure. So do everyone a favor and.....Think before you speak!

Sheriff Garbor has done a fine job. He gets a lot of blame and not enough credit. He has pissed some people off but not because he did or said something wrong. He just told them something they didn't want to hear. His job is unbelievably tough for anyone. It comes with the territory. I'll bet he is looking forward to a time when everybody doesn't want something from him.

Ok Steve Garber really is not the subject of this election. We all need to be looking and researching the present candidates in order to determine who is the right choice for our sheriff. In my personal opinion Eric Moran is that choice. No other candidate knows the county and its people like he does. His job as warrants officer for the entire county puts him in the position to know where all of our common place criminals stay throughout the county. Also he never stopped his position at just being a warrants officer. He has gone out and put his life on the line doing narcotic and s.w.a.t. ops, while not required to be on duty, in order to help rid this county of all the dangerous people and drugs we have on our streets. He has never been in violent confrontation with any of the individuals he has arrested. He has always treated every person he has come across with respect and kindness. What more could you ask for in a sheriff? Seriously people, this is the man we want for sheriff!

We need someone in for sheriff that isn't one of the good ole boys. Hancock county is know as Hancrack county in other states. I am ashamed to even mention where I am from when I visit other states. We really need someone that will change things around, and will get rid of the deputies that DO NOT DO THEIR JOBS. In fact, some of them help the drug pushers, suppliers, and transporters get around the law. So lets try and get someone in there to clean up Hancock County and get rid of the slackers.

He also didn't pay his officers or bother to improve there work conditions. His theory was Why pay a man 13 dollars an hour when I can get one to do it for 9 dollars an hour?

Who got 9 an hour? That would have been a nice raise.

You want to know who to put in to get this place cleaned up??? I'll tell you RICKY ADAM that's who! No one man or woman is going to get every area, every inch of Hancock County clean and free of drugs, dealers and the makers. But, one man will do a better job trying than any of the others that's running and that is RICKY ADAM!!! Honest, hard working, reputable, dedicated, loyal, life long rsident, father, husband, friend and neighbor. What more can you ask for. Look at HIS record and see where the proof is. And, by the way HIS record isn't falsified.

Looked for a crime fighting, law enforcement record and didn't find one. While we're supporting realtors to clean the county of drugs, I'd rather go with John Hall. He's a better realtor than Ricky Adam, so maybe he'll make a better sheriff?
