Activity lacking proper permits
“If we can find violations, we're going to hit them with sanctions.”
Residents expressed outrage to the City Council on Tuesday over unpermitted work by an out-of-town company that officials said has bulldozed land, built roads and levees, and dug canals in Hancock County without applying for required permits.
The city has already issued a stop-work order against Stennis Technology Park Inc., which is developing hundreds of acres south of Interstate 10 and west of Mississippi 603. Both city and county officials said the company has never obtained permits for the work, which has occurred deep inside large tracts of undeveloped land, out of sight of the public eye and behind locked gates. Considering all this extensive work with the development has been done in the County and City Limits without any permits or anything else, I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to figure out that there are multiple violations there! What do they mean by,If we can find violations, we're going to hit them with sanctions.? I seriously doubt they are this blind to the "local individuals" in the area trying to build back right now.
