myself and my four sibilings were spanked when we were not minding our parents or doing something wrong when we were children..we were not beat , but spanked and we knew if we misbehaved we would get into trouble and possibly spanked...we are all now grandparents in our 50's..but i dont think someone else should spank your child...but i also dont think people correct their children and teach them respect as they did in my youth
