I'm just trying to understand. I find it unusual that her sisters tried getting in touch with Leanne since December and after all kinds of lame excuses from her husband, they didn't involve law enforcement until the middle of April. I cannot even imagine the guilt they must be feeling. After about a month of excuses and her not contacting her family either, I'd think someone in her family would check it out. How close could they really be that they would let four months go by without contact? I pray for her famiily and may God bless her soul and keep Christopher safe.
let me put a few things to rest - her family was incontact with leanne only a few days before she supposedly "disappeared". yes - she did shut her friends out (me being one of them) but it was because he made her do it. it does not suprise me that JJ has done this after his history of violence. please please please stop gossipping about this, blaming the family and saying crappy things about leanne - she was THE MOST amazing friend i EVER had. we are all devastated by this. pray for the family. send money to help christopher do GOOD out of this- not unnecessary gossip.

When did she supposedly "disappear"? December or in April, when they contacted law enforcement? I'm not trying to dog her family; I can't imagine their pain, but I can't understand why no one checked up on her. Were her sisters and mother aware of his prior abuse? Did anyone see this coming because of his behavior?

I know how concerned her sisters were, you don't. So shut up.
Ever think of how easy it would be to mislead people?
"She's taking care of the baby." "She's asleep."
"She just left for WalMart." "She's not feeling well." "She's at the Doctor" "She's visiting so and so in such and such city."
You DO NOT KNOW what was going on, so be quiet until you know.
The family is suffering... not just "in pain" but SUFFERING and your foolish post does not help.
DID THE TRUTH HIT TO CLOSE TO HOME? YES, I AGREE THAT FAMILY IS HURTING BUT THERE IS STILL NO REASON FOR THEIR ACTIONS[OR INACTIONS]. THEY KNEW WHAT KIND OF A MAN HE WAS BECOMING AND THEY ACCEPTED HIS WORD THAT SHE WAS 'BUSY'. YOU MEAN SHE WENT TO WALMART WITHOUT HER CELL PHONE? DON'T BELIEVE IT. EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW THAT ISIOLATION IS ONE OF THE SIGNS OF AN ABUSER. I HAVE THE PHONE #'S OF MY SISTERS FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS TO CALL IF I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM THEM AFTER I LEFT MESSAGES AND CALLS WERE NOT RETURNED.NOW YOU ARE GOING TO SAY HE DIDN'T GIVE HER MESSAGES. WHAT DO YOU THINK SHE MUST HAVE BEEN THINKING?? HE DOESN'T LOVE ME AND WHERE IS MY FAMILY? MY DAUGHTER'S WORST NIGHTMARE HAS BEEN GETTING A CALL FROM THE POLICE THAT SOMETHING HAS HAPPENED TO HER BROTHER WHEN HE DOESN'T RESPOND TO MESSAGES SHE'S LEFT. SHE LEAVES HIM A MESSAGE STATING THAT SHE DOES NOT WANT HER NAME IN THE PAPER THAT HE'S BEEN FOUND DEAD AND HE HAD NOT HAD ANY CONTACT WITH HIS FAMILY FOR X AMOUNT OF MONTHS.THAT CALL GETS AN IMMEDIATE RESPONSE. WE ARE OUR BROTHER'S KEEPER.GRANDPARENTS AND AUNTS TOLERATING NOT SEEING THE BABY? SOMETHING IS DEFINATELY WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE!

I, like most of you, feel sorrow for this woman, her family and child. This is a real tragedy. I also feel sadness for Jimmy Paulsen. He and his brothers and sister were close friends when we were children in Queens. In fact, he was my brother's best friend at that time. We, including my mother, knew Jimmy as a kind and gentle boy. He was sensitive and sweet. He would go up to the roof of our apartment building and write poetry. When I went up there and saw him sitting down and leaning against the wall of the roof door walls, I would ask him to read me so of his writing. None of us can remember ever seeing Jimmy get so much as angry. He would help my mother carry our groceries up the stairs to our third floor apartment. He had a troubled family, as so many people do, and we do remember he and his siblings being hit, "spanked' badly, by his stepfather who seemed like a really mean guy. Later in life, we learned his youngest brother, Christopher, whom he adored when we were little kids, died of a drug overdose. Jimmy and Leanne's son is named Christopher. I'm not making excuses for what Jimmy allegedly did. If he did it, it is horrible and tragic. I am simply letting people know he was a good and gentle person when he was a young kid, and many people loved him, including me and my family. Perhaps he got damaged by some of his painful childhood experiences and that damage contributed to his "snapping" psychologically and possibly commiting this terrible crime.

My family and I are praying for all of them, including Jimmy.
