Thank God. Carmel Indiana is BROKE.
"AnnexATION" WOULD MEAN Confiscation
OF ALL RIGHTS IN HomePlace Indiana by the
totally corrupt Brainard gang.
Mayor Brainless has almost destroyed Carmel
and will destroy HomePlace.
Brainard can't even make his PALLADIUM
turn a profit. The Palladium is BROKE.
Director Frank Basile has "blown it".
The Carmel Palladium is BRAINARD's FOLLY!!
The Carmel-CRC is over $400,000,000 in
DEBT, and Carmel Indiana's city-governmental
debt is well over $2,000,000,000--
that's TWO BILLION DOLLARS and it is Un-repayable.
TAXES are already going SKY-HIGH!!
Schools are suffering, and there NO money
for Paving OUR streets and roads. Instead;
those funds are going to the BROKE Palladium.
For Brainard, it is an out-of-control
Mismanagement is the "keystone"
of Brainard's mis-rule.
The population of Carmel Indiana has DROPPED from
76,000 in 2002, to 64,500 in 2011-2012.
A NET LOSS.
Business vacancies are up 94% in the
last 3 years.
Apartment complexes are empty. Housing market is
DEAD. Strip malls are all but deserted.
ERGO, NO ANNEXATION of HomePlace Indiana
not now, not in 2016, not in 2018, and not ever.
There is NO DEMAND to come to Carmel Indiana..
Let the People of Carmel Indiana pay their
own damned bills. They are living BEYOND
their means, and are lazy , bloated wannabees.
They want something-for-nothing.
NO ANNEXATION of HOMEPLACE INDIANA, ever.

Judge Hughes told Carmel that his findings would lead to another judgement for Home Place, based on Home Place receiving abundant services already from the township and the county. Carmel likely told Judge Hughes to vacate the case, or they would vacate his ruling to the Supreme Court. So Judge Hughes named a three judge panel to take over for him in 2015. It's likely he'll retire at some point then anyway.
Hoosier/Home Place resident - None of the three judges named are from Hamilton County. So we're farming our court system across county lines. Does Bryan Babb and James Brainard fear local judges like Hughes and Steve Naton that much?!

Brainard is PARANOID.
Hamilton County Indiana judges are CROOKS.
Brainard has LOST CONTROL!!
Brainard is being DEFEATED, BIG TIME.
The "power structure" is running scared.

Carmel Bruce - Bruce Kimball writes on other forums that no improvements are scheduled for Home Place as a county run area. Well, we have roads and they are maintained - resurfaced and ploughed. We have the county HCSD for patrols, and all the county services that all citizens of Hamitlon County have. Meanwhile, Carmel could put some money into its property in Home Place. Carmel owns the Monon Trail, but don't expect them to build a pedestrain bridge for it at 106th street to help protect citizens using the Monon or expedite traffic.
Hoosier/Home Place resident - The only actions Carmel will take if it annexes here are RAB building and eminent domain for its real estate buddies.

I wouldn't call him any names - but he's mistaken, and doesn't want to know the truth. The truth is COIT (county income tax) is collected everywhere in Hamilton, then distributed among the local governments, to include township, muni(or county) if no muni exists, and library. In my community, our COIT goes to Clay Township, which gives it to the parks, and those parks are all located in Carmel. Our COIT goes to the library, located in downtown Carmel. And the rest ($400K+) goes to Hamilton County. That $400K represents four (4) police officers (ie sheriffs' deputies).
Hoosier/Home Place resident - Bruce knows that our roads are maintained by gas taxes that we motorists all pay into. Carmel should leave this setup alone, as the mayor wisely decided to do last month.
