What will happen when the governor's plan to eliminate township assessors??? Another government employee parking lot downtown... and a few less businesses

Holt is hoping his slum/dump rental on 10th Street a block away will fare as well. Ca-ching!

$50,000 for a "growth study"?

...Honestly... I'm at a loss for words.

Well, it's not like they are paying one guy to stare at Noblesville for a day and then pull out a number. There's alot that goes into this kind of study.

Multiple people are paid for multiple months of work to research the population over the years, what effected it, what future effects could increase or decrease the population, etc. Seeming how the average yearly salary for just one person in HamCo is along the same pricetag,$50,000 doesn't seem to shock me quite as much as it does you apparently.

Brilliant plan. Bulldoze your city and turn it into a sea of parking lots. It's the 1960's all over again.

I'm not sure it's the best use of county funds, but the building itself is neither historic nor significant. I'm guessing by its looks it was built in the 70's

It is totally stupid to spend over $600,000 to buy a building with the sole intention of tearing it down to turn it into parking spaces.

What a waste of my taxpayer money.

I am glad I am not where I could yell at someone - the council is OUT of control and being sooo irresponsible with the money.

Yes and all of those acres for government "employees"....but not for CUSTOMERS, SHOPPERS AND OTHERS WHO SPEND MONEY!!!!......just for those who suck money from the taxpayer. Government is the fastest growing business in Hamilton County. Wake up, sheeple...

Amen! Let the private sector get into the business of providing parking. No way should the taxpayers be on the hoos for this nonsense.
